Dewitt County Museum Tours

The floors and countertops were sticky. There were only 2 tiny bars of soap; no shampoo. The staff was friendly. The stairs were difficult to climb up/ down as there was only a thin railing on one side & the tread strips were coming apart. At least it was quiet & we were able to get a good night's sleep.

The stay was pretty good for an inexpensive hotel. The room was outdated, but felt clean for the most part. I have not stayed in a hotel room in many years that did not have USB A and USB C charging ports. I was surprised I needed a block to charge my phone. There was a surge protector type device on the night stand with room for two block plug ins- that was sticky and covered in lint/hair. Otherwise, the room was fine. Beds were comfortable, bed skirts looked messy and out of place. Window opened to a wall, which is always strange. Parking was easy and plentiful. Area felt safe. Staff was cordial and helpful. I was surprised to get a little welcome treat as a Hilton diamond member. Breakfast was good- kind of as expected for a free hotel breakfast. But staff was very kind. While I would not come here as a destination, I would stay again if I needed to visit the area.
