Nice room!, however, the porch light was so bright, at night it looked like the lights were still in! This attracted many bugs. We had to run for our lives to get through them. But overall it was really spacious and clean! We always stay here when we visit florida.

Came down for spring break as a solo mom with two kids ages 9 and 7. We originally booked the Beachside Hotel and upon checking we immediately checked out and got a last minute room at Westgate for 4 nights. The front desk crew was super welcoming to us (thanks Ro and Amy) and when we got to our super clean suite with big comfy beds we were so relieved! The next day the resort looked even better in the daylight. The beach spot is fantastic, you can rent chairs and umbrellas and boogie boards each day (but get there not too long after 9am they do sell out). My kids spent hours boogie boarding at the beach and it was never too crowded. We would bop back over to Westgate’s pool, lazy river, and splash pad and have lunch from the tiki bar (hi Mikayla!! Our awesome server all week). My only suggestions are that they provide more toiletries (body lotion and bigger or more bottles of shampoo & conditioner). I also had to call and press to get the room cleaned on day 2, that was a little unclear (housekeeping). They did provide plenty of fresh clean towels for bathrooms and pool when we would call down they would quickly come up and switch them out. I was bummed we couldn’t get a room with a view, the room we got faced the busy road, however, with the bathrooms tucked in the back of the room it was super quiet. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the resort - both the rooms and common spaces and the pool and water play areas. We felt very safe and taken care of!

The Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa is a good, to a very good resort. The location is excellent! Even though it is directly off a major highway, once inside their gates it is very nice! The rooms are well appointed and spacious. They are very clean and comfortable. The grounds within the resort are outstanding!

Will stay again. So close to the parks and very clean.

Waterpark is an additional $25.00, and is only open right now (April) from 11am-6pm. Checkout is at 10am so you won’t be able to go back to your room after the water park if you checked out. When I pushed it they gave in and gave me “late” checkout at 12pm. There are no showers or changing rooms for the waterpark.
