The spa turned out to be inaccessible without pre-booking. That went for the sauna also which we would have liked to use. The location was perfect for downtown strolls. Be forewarned, but if you have a car, valet parking is $50 a day. The facilities are lovely and not overcrowded. even on Memorial Day weekend with many families in residence. Everyone seemed charming and well-behaved. I had booked a room with a balcony and partial ocean view which turned out to be right over parked cars on a side street! The front desk moved me upon request to a room overlooking the pool which was a huge improvement. Hotel restaurant for breakfast and informal meals is across the entrance courtyard, and there is nowhere onsite for a quick coffee and pasty. Rooms have Nespresso machines but not enough creamer for two servings! They do, however, give guests free water and snacks like taffy and caramel popcorn!
