Franciscan Health Olympia Fields Tours

Enjoyed the functional kitchen and excellent 24 hour airport shuttle - they happily picked us up at 2.30am! Staff were helpful, coffee was pretty good, rooms were mostly clean (top of bathroom door was dirty - I assume from cooking, as the hotel is non-smoking). Our room had some greenery outside and overlooked an empty lot, so privacy was excellent. The area was a bit odd, sort of in the middle of nowhere right next to the airport, very limited dining options. Car parking available. We used the local bus to go to a grocery store 5 mins down the road, bus stop right outside the hotel. We cooked our own meals. Some snacks and pre-made frozen meals available for purchase in the lobby. Sometimes heater/cooler had an odd smell - I imagine the filter probably needs a clean. Laundry had an issue (not the hotel's fault - it's a digital system run by another company, you need to sign up for an account; apparently people had lost money, so we did not use). Sufficient for our needs for a 3 night stay. Suitable also for a longer-term stay.

Staff are very helpful. Rooms had great view of the river.

I found out that the problem is more me - i am just not a fan of central Chicago - too much traffic-sirens etc., Otherwise the hotel and amenities were fine.
