We booked the premium corner king room through Expedia.com. I was on the Expedia site and my husband was on the Weathervane site. The same room was available on both sites for the dates we wanted. The Expedia site rate was about $60 less than the Weathervane site, so we booked through Expedia. Upon arrival at the Weathervane we were told our reservation was not for the corner room and that the hotel was fully booked. I contacted Expedia who said they tried to call the Weathervane but couldn't get through. Needless to say, my husband and I were very disappointed. Expedia said they would try to contact the Inn for any compensation. Never heard back regarding that, but Expedia did offer a $75 one-key cash for our inconvenience, which we have not received yet. One key cash can only be used on pay now in full and refunds are either not available or limited if you need to cancel
I suppose most of this is a review of Expedia but the Weathervane Inn desk person did not offer any resolution except sorry we're full, although when we booked that room WAS available on the Weathervane site. So, we still don't know which site messed up our reservation. Also, rooms on the first floor are next to the tiny breakfast area. There are 2-person breakfast tables staggered between the doors of each 1st floor room. This leads to lots of breakfast noise and conversations outside your room beginning at 6am.
