Fantastic
Place is really nice and plenty of space for family of at least 4 and could actually Proble sleep 8 in there comfortably. Yard area was nice and just enough space for weekend getaway. All the neighbors was nice and friendly. Walking distance to the beach and easy access to plenty of stores. Really loved listening to the planes flying into the airport at night

Caution
Not recommended. Had to contact Vrbo two times before we were given a an entrance code from the host. Never received instructions on how to close house. While checking in the gas company came to cut off the gas but when told we were renting through VRBO, they agreed to keep the gas on. Messaged host and he apologized and said he would call the company. Was advertised with Internet and television. Internet and television did not work and this was necessary for us as this was a business trip. Messaged host and had no response. The house was unclean with sticky floors with Pet hair and the towels were mildewed with hair. Had to wash towels before we could use them. Will NEVER stay here again! Do not rent this house!

None of the issues noted multiple times in reviews have been addressed. This could be a really nice property to stay at if the issues were addressed and remedied. NOT high dollar issues! When you walk across the laminate floor barefoot and it turns the bottom of your feet black, there are issues. Oh, and then there is the train track ACROSS THE STREET!! UGH!! My words to prospective renters…RENTERS BEWARE!

Enjoyed our time!
This property was perfect for us over a holiday weekend. We have twin boys who loved walking to and from the beach every morning. They especially enjoyed having their own bedroom. If we are ever in the area again I would return!

Nice place to crash
We enjoyed our stay in Gulfport! The house was great for our stay. We did a lot of running around so pretty much just used the house for sleeping and showering. It had everything we needed. However, just note that beach towels aren’t provided so if you’re going to the beach, make sure to pack some.

Lovely
The stay was lovely. The landlord texted back immediately every time I texted. I will say, it’s better to text the phone number listed. They say in the voicemail it’s easier on them and it seemed to be the perfect way to contact them. Only thing to watch with a little one is the back yard gate doesn’t lock but the landlord has been notified. Overall, the stay was amazing. The house was clean and perfect size for our little family.

Terrible curb appear. Door facings rotted. After using washer, the property inside smelled like sewer. Picture depicted it being on the beach, not so. Had to drive to beach. Front storm/screen door would not stay closed. Patio chairs rotted. BBQ grill s rusty and dirty. Bug crawling on my bed Absolutely would not recommend.

the host would not respond to my messages, it was after 10pm before we enter the property.
The property was fine. The glass door would not latch and I was unable to start the gas heaters (I did not know how to use them, so we did without heat). Coffee and laundry soap was provided, which was a bonus. I was told there was a glitch in the system and we were not on the schedule. Note, I had messaged the host 3 days before our trip and prior to our check in time. We had been scheduled and paid in full 1 month prior to our trip. House was not clean, it was late when we were allowed to enter the property and we had to change the bedding and clean on the house. Never heard back from the host with an explanation or apology. I was very disappointed.

Location is awful
I never got the entry code and instructions I had to text the property manager to get the code for entry. When we arrived we had a hard time finding the place. Then when we finally did get into the place the rental wasn’t really nice. It was dark and it was hot. All the rooms had window air conditioning and they looked a bit dirty almost like mold at least it was a dark powder on them. The shower was old and I’m not sure but there was mold on the ceiling of the shower. The kitchen faucet was not fixed on right so every time you moved the spicket it moved. The neighbors had a loud party the first night we were there. The screen door never really closed well. It was a old house and it was a house away from a railroad track. So combined with the loud neighbors the train blew its whistle every time it went by. Very alarming if you’re not used to sleeping next to a railroad. I wasn’t happy with our stay

Gulfport was a wonderful place to visit. Home was quiet.
Many were not well renovated. Bathroom - hot water faucet in tub not secure. Both the towel bar and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall with normal use. Mo safety bar in tub. Master bedroom- there.was a terribly nasty spot on the sham very obvious they had not been washed. Kitchen- There was a skillet placed in the drawer with scrambled egg on the pan. The kitchen faucet was not the right faucet for the openings in the sink. It was so loose it twisted about. Huge roaches. Floors were sandy. The outside trash barrel had not been emptied in a while. It stunk horribly. The door code was the same as the home addresss. Home needs maintenance on the outside in many places.

Birthday trip
Brought my parents down for a few days to celebrate my dad’s 82nd birthday. We had a lovely time, and the house was great for my mom who is wheelchair/Walker dependent. Loved that there were separate AC units in the bedrooms so mom and dad could keep their room warmer and the rest of a could keep our rooms cooler and more comfortable! Thank you! We had a great time and would def recommend this rental!

We had a great stay. The contact is hard to get ahold of. We got a message the day of check in to call before going in the house. No answer and the mailbox was full. The cleaning people were there when we showed up so we did not get to check in until 4:30. Would have been after that but we told them we could finish drying the towels. The surface of the house was clean but could use a deep clean and some fixing up. The yard needed mowed in front and the back. There was cigarette butts and trash in the backyard. We did not know until that day that we had to provide toilet paper and paper towel. Which is fine but definitely would be nice to know at booking. The neighbors were nice. The train that goes through is loud but not over baring. The traffic going by is loud and the planes flying over is loud. Nothing you cant get use to or cause you not to sleep. Overall the house had everything we needed and wanted for our first family vacation! We had a great time down there with our kids and had plenty of room for the 5 of us! We would definitely book the house again!

Very close to beach.
The house was clean but not well equipped. You will need to bring your own paper towels, toilet paper etc. Even your own towels and wash cloths for showering. This is the first VRBO that I have stayed at that was not equipped with essential needs. One thing that people must know when renting this house is that it is not central heat or air. It had 4 air conditioners in it. You don't want one of those to break down because the property owners are not very responsive. It seems better to rent from a personal property owner than a company. The neighborhood is loud and a little sketchy. You will hear a train all hours and at night. You are close to it. Loud music from cars going by in the neighborhood and the next door neighbor played loud county music out back. Houses are very close. If you are one of those people who are looking for a quite vacation while you are relaxing at the house you rented, this is not the place for you. There is no dumpster so you have to put your trash on the ground in the front yard. When we pulled up to the house there was a bunch of piled up trash bags in the front yard. Not a good first impression. I wanted to be specific as I can because when I read reviews that is what I go by. I want people to know what they are staying in and their environment. The only plus is that it is walking distance to the beach.

Great value
House was good for the money and for a shorter stay. My 2 younger kids enjoyed the bunk beds and our king bed was firm, but better than most mattresses in rentals. We didn't like the beach that was close to here so we drove closer to the little town that was there to enjoy the gulf. Only complaint was a consistent odor coming from the bathroom and that the tub diverter was broken, so the kids couldn't take a bath. Besides that it was a decent pit stop on our travels. 2 days in gulfport was enough for us

We loved the house. Very convenient to the beach and surrounding stores. But for my grandchildren it was convenient for them because they were at the beach all day to swim and at the beach at night to watch the sand crabs. We will definitely be back. And will definitely recommend this property to anyone looking. Thanks again for making my grandchildren dreams come true.

Very Disappointing
My husband and I decided on this location because of the backyard. We wanted to bring our dog along so she could run and play while we sat back and relaxed. When we arrived the house hadn't been cleaned from the previous renters. We sat outside for over 2 hours waiting for the cleaning person to arrive and complete her tasks. Yes, the furniture is outdated and the mattress in the one bedroom is awful to say the least. These were things I was aware of before arriving but I wasn't staying here because of the posh amenities. However, I do expect the house to be clean. Yes the cleaning person did a good job on the surface stuff. This house hasn't been deep cleaned in years. The grease build up in the kitchen is terrible and the slipcovers on the couch and loveseat were not washed after the people before us used them. Hope they didn't have the COVID! There were also NO functioning smoke detectors in the house. Most of them were missing from the rooms and were found in random drawers or on top of the cupboards. It has gas appliances and no functioning carbon monoxide detectors. These minor details shows me these owners do not care about our (or your) safety what so ever. Also, the yard needed to be mowed and the shrubs and weeds cut back. The back door was broken. This place was a complete disappointment! Now I get to deal with trying to get my money back when I was promised a full refund. Which I have in writing (text)!! Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else where they might actually care about you and you having a great time. This year has been complete crap for most of us and my husband and I just wanted a break from it all. If I would have know this was going to be another dumpster fire, I would have saved my vacation days!

Updates needed!
The furniture needs updating a bit. Couches and beds were horrible to sleep in. Master bedroom bed needs a new mattress as your back will kill you and your spouse will roll on top of you. Second bedroom is a four poster bed again matress is poor and the bed itself your afraid that any moment it may break. From shaky posters to a very creaky bed frame. Third bedroom is okay but even the little kids were uncomfortable due to their beds being to hard. Overall furniture needs a major overhaul. Pictures are pretty true on this except the back patio, dog poop everywhere and it could really use some much needed yard work. I also found when doing laundry bugs on the floor and needless to say they were big. I called the manager no answer texted her and all she said was they spray the property. Not sure when the last time it had been cleaned as we also found sand in our bed. Location was the best part of our vacation!

In short: extremely dissatisfied
While the location of this property is worth a million dollars, the property itself isn't worth a dollar!! From the tall weeds and grass in the front yard, and the black mold and garage sale furniture inside,we couldn't have been more dissapointed! The advertised amenities were either unusable or outdated to be sure! I made repairs to the bathroom sink,the coffee table, and the kitchen counter upon arrival. In the following days tightened shower handles,put light bulbs in lamps,and bleached the back of the night stands and baseboards that were covered in mold! It was two weeks before our contact person did anything about remedying any of our concerns! Not once were we contacted to see how things were! The Gulfport area, the foods, history , and charm of the people we met are first class, but I would not recommend this property for this price to anyone!! A dark cloud over Sunnyside on Curcor!!

Home in Desperate Need of Modernization/Renovation
The place is in desperate need of replacement. Several parts of the cabinetry were missing or non functional. The table in the living room has broken legs. The oven is from perhaps the 1980s and does not have an indication that it has reached temperature nor a clock to keep track of how long things have been in the oven. The fridge has no ice making capabilities despite having an ice maker in the fridge. The backyard has a light fixture in it that would provide perfect lighting to the patio, if the lamp hadn't blown off halfway through my visit. Simultaneously, one of the tables blew over in the storm (not hurricane, just a windy day) and took three days to get someone out to survey and sweep up the glass. The wifi is abysmally slow. I couldn't even watch Netflix without buffering. I used the wifi Hotspot on my phone the entire month I was there and even after hitting the slowdown rate, it was still significantly faster than the installed wifi. While on the topic of cable and internet, the television set in the living room is basically impossible to see unless you are at the exact height of the television set and directly across from it. Any other view will leave a horrible glare on the screen due to the back lighting. The beds were comfortable, but it was incredibly difficult to get a comfortable temperature throughout the house with window units, and this was in fall. I can't imagine the summer experience. To top everything off, the final night I stayed in the house, the power went out and I woke up to the neighbor banging on the door at 2am to let me know that someone had been in my car and the door was open. Upon further investigation and getting in touch with the police and power company, it was apparently done by local kids in the area who were going through the area turning off power and ransacking cars, which seemed like it was a common occurrence. Whether it was recently or perpetually occurring was not clear. When the power company came out, I was at work, but upon return to grab my things and checkout, it was still not working 8 hours later. I would not recommend staying here more than a few days. Spend a few more dollars for a nicer place in Gulfport or perhaps vacation in another town.

Great location for Cruisin the Coast
3 bedrooms and only 1 bath is tough with 2 or more couples. House was very clean, but had several minor maintenance issues. ie: burnt out light bulbs, Broken kitchen cabinet, bath lavetory loose from wall, Tub facets knobs loose had to tighten screws to get water to turn on. Just needs a good handy man to fix thinks up.

Fantastic location, great price, great potential. There are some maintenance issues that I addressed that were also mentioned multiple times over a long period in the guest book. The mattresses and bedding also need replaced as they're probably 10+ years old. I would love to stay here again but I don't know that I would until some care and upgrades are completed.

Our Honeymoon was wonderful.
We enjoyed our visit to Gulfport and area. The location, I repeat ... the location is wonderful. We had our small dog with us and she also enjoyed the sun. Everything was great except we bought more comfortable pillows as we stayed three weeks. Thanks for the help and good communication when we asked for help. We recommend four stars only because of the pillows and the need for a better skillet to cook breakfast. Thanks again. C and J Lewis

AMAZING!!!
The property we rented was great. We had some small glitches that no one could have expected due to a snow that came through. But the customer service was exceptional and they took great care of us. I would recommend this rental to anyone. I cannot put into words how great the customer service was.

When we arrived the house was very clean and private. We were unaware of the train tracks being so close to the house. The cable in the master bedroom did not work which was fine. The house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the fenced in back yard. It rained the whole time we were there but were able to stick our toes in the sand for a few minutes. The owner is very plesent and accommodating. The house is located in a remote location close to shopping eating and the beach.

Very nice place for the family on a budget
This house was comfortable and convenient for our family. I was a bit disappointed that I could not get to just watch regular tv on our down time, could only figure out the Netflix programming. And also, the mirror situation was a bit disconcerting (only because when there is 3-4 women trying to fix their hair and all have to pile into one bathroom to use mirror, not always a good outcome :p) but just recommend that a couple more mirrors be added to somewhere in house. Overall, happy to find this place and would recommend still.

Loved the stay!
Everything was great! It's about 3 blocks from the beach. If you stay you need to bring laundry detergent and dryer sheets to wash your towels. The dogs loved the fenced in backyard. Glad we chose this house.
