Make your way to Meiwa-machi and experience Kiyasse Hanyu and Zenchoji Temple. It's approximately 3 miles out of Hanyu, and well worth the trip. Alternatively, you could stop by Hyakkannon Thermal Baths and Washinomiya Shrine in Kazo. This destination is 5 miles from Hanyu.
Itakura-machi is 5 miles to the northeast of Hanyu. This regional hub is known for Koga Park, Suzume Shrine and Fukuhoji Temple. Tenkoku Art Museum and Furukawa Street Art Museum are some more sites that you won't want to miss.
