“We stayed in the Arroyo suite and it was very private and quiet. The room is lovely. I loved the way the light filtered into the suite. The staff were always available when we needed them and they were amazing. Breakfast consisted of home made pastries that were delivered to the door of our courtyard every morning. And the coffee provided was excellent.”

“I never write a review but the property was so bad I had to warn others. We had the room under the stairs. Broken door knob on the entry door. There was an exterior door that was boarded up next to our bed making it feel like you were on the street when it came to noise levels. Very noisy. Daily cleaning of the room was not done or offered. 1 Star hotel at a 5 Star price.”

We enjoyed our stay, one night, at The Charles; it was comfortable, convivial, well-appointed, delicious, gracious, and Dolly, our hostess, was delightful, warm, welcoming, and beautiful. Highly recommend. We walked to town, to the river, to our show at The Uptown Theater, and slept so well in our king bed. The front porch, the outdoor courtyard, the dining and living rooms were perfect.”
