“This was just about one of the "biggest" surprises I've EVER found...Elfendahl and the Wanderbus are truly a HUGE TREASURE!! A stay that is 'magical', for sure! Like going into one of Tolkien's books!! We LOVED it, and the owner and staff were outstanding! Thank you, Gary, for being so good to us, for your conversations with us, & for creating such an extraordinary and wonder-filled place! I want to come back REAL SOON!! Thank you, also, to Candy and Tyler for your help and time……

“The common living areas were delightful, especially the wonderful deck, with Mt. Rainier's striking gaze always present. Watching the tidal changes and small boats navigating the challenges was always great fun. The master bedroom and bath and its separate deck entrance are perfect, the downstairs bedrooms may be less so, but on warm evenings, dependably cooler without using AC. Still, mixed adult and children/pets should find there is something for everyone. The expansive lawn for racket games,……

“It was a wonderful piece of property . I will definitely look fir this one fir my next stay”

“Lovely spot, beautiful view”

“It was very peaceful I liked but would have enjoyed more space. next Visit I will pick one of the bigger Cabins. Thank you.”

“We had a great stay - excellent location, comfortable, clean - we would definitely stay here again when we are back in Olympia!”

“I liked the place. The remodel of the basement was very well done great view of the water. But be aware it is a long way down a steep stairway. Also be aware that the place where you park is above the basement apartment down a short but fairly steep gravel path and/or another steep stairway. My wife and I are old and very unsteady on or feet. It would have been nice for us old folks if we had known what we were getting into. But it’s great if you are young. The owner was very nice and helpful. ……

“Nice and clean with dedicated parking. Close to waterfront and capital. Quiet and secure.”

“As soon as we opened the door a musty stale air met our sense of smell then sitting on the cloth covered couch lots of food particles/crumbs on it,sent lots of pictures to the host and said I can send somebody to clean it at 7pm,so we declined instead we vacuumed it ourselves. The porch was covered with cherry pink blossoms and dried old leaves, the mat in front of the door has not been lifted fir a while evident by dry old dirt and dust.Trying to cook the pots and pan were rusty and old scratched……

“Beautiful daylight basement with private patio in a pretty wooded area. No view of the water, and a bit of street noise outside, but quiet inside except for the putter-patter of little feet from upstairs sometimes. The resident small dog and cat were friendly and happy to welcome us. Shopping was just minutes away. Watch for deer if you drive the area at dusk/dark! At the corner where you turn into the neighborhood, there are tons of wild blackberries.”

“Great space for our little family and our dog. Hosts were kind and welcoming. ”
