A cozy log cabin for two nestled in the trees like your very own adult treehouse! On the porch you will find a HOT TUB, gas grill, and cedar log furniture. The hot tub snuggles up to a gorgeous mature hemlock tree. Watch the squirrels play in front of you. In the winter, you can enjoy sunrise and sunset colors. In the summer, the leaves will enclose you. Large sliding glass doors in living area AND bedroom lead to the porch, bringing the outside in!
Inside is an elegant granite & stainless kitchen, desk workspace, washer/dryer, king size bed, and full bathroom. FREE WiFi.

FREE Streaming Apps/channels: HBO GO, SHOWTIME Anytime, Amazon Prime Video, STARZ, CBS All Access, PBS, Comedy Central, Nat Geo TV, Smithsonian Channel, Smithsonian Earth, E! The cabin features easy access directly from the paved road, within a mile of The Big South Fork River & Recreation Area boundary, near Pickett State Park and Twin Arches hiking trail. The back porch is very private as it looks into the trees. In the winter you can see sunrise and sunsets, and moonrise and moonsets, and watch the squirrels play. In the summer time the leaves enclose you and a whippoorwill often sings you to sleep. The hot tub nestles up to gorgeous hemlock - no swimsuits required!
We are half a mile from The Cumberland Valley Trailhead, with the Bandy Creek Visitor's Center and bike, hike, and horse trails just a few miles further down the road. The driveway is circular so can easily accommodate your trailer of toys - boats, bikes, motorcycles, ATV's, or kayaks. We are in Central Time, halfway between the towns of Jamestown and Oneida, TN. The Hitching Post General Store at 3516 Leatherwood Ford Rd/TN-297 is just down the road. Plug their name or address into your Maps App for our approximate location. (I will send the exact address and detailed driving directions ONLY to guests with a confirmed reservation.)
The locally famous Bacara's Restaurant is a few miles away. About 20 minutes of gorgeous drive will take you to a couple Mexican, a good Asian restaurant, and the impressively rustic Preston's Longhorn Steakhouse.
Lots of hiking, horseback riding, rafting, kayaking, biking, 4 wheeling, and other outdoorsy things to do in THE BIG SOUTH FORK River & Recreation Area. Many gorgeous sandstone bluffs and arches to explore. The Twin Arches hike is a must do!

-If you are not familiar with the operation of a gas grill or gas stove, please ask for help!!!
-Absolutely no smoking inside the cabin, although you are welcome to smoke out on the porch.
-Turn off the HVAC and use the screen doors if you wish to have the sliding doors open. (Insects will come inside the cabin if the door is left open without the screen.)
-Please do the dishes and throw your sheets and towels in the wash with a provided detergent puck and start a cycle as you leave. (This shortens the time Gary needs to spend cleaning – a savings we pass on to you! He receives the entire $35 cleaning fee that you paid and works hard for it!!!)
-Please turn off the lights and leave the HVAC in Auto/A1 when you check-out (by 11 AM), and put the keys back in the lock box as you depart.
We believe the above to be reasonable, but if throwing your linens in the wash or using a gas stove would be an issue for you - PLEASE BOOK ELSEWHERE. We want happy guests!!!
We welcome you to our personal tree house getaway and hope you appreciate all the love and attention to details inside! Please take care of the cabin so we can continue to share it with you!
