Had a great day at Jurmala Beach. Hotel helped me get a cab to train station which cost less than 5 Euro. Train from Riga to Jurmala was about 40 minutes and cost 1.40 Euro, what a deal. Got off at the Majori station, right by Jurmala vistor center, walked to Baltic Beach hotel through hotel to beach. Beautiful beach. Excellent lunch at café right on the beach then walked down the main street of Jurmala with lots of cute shops etc. Great afternoon and then took the train back. Cool views from the train.
This is great place in any season, but especially during summer months. Highly recommended as it is just in 30 minutes journey by train from the Main station. Get out at Dzintari or Majori railway station.
