Whether you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life or simply need a base to explore the beautiful Far North we would like to offer you our humble little abode ‘THE BACH’. Relaxed environment overlooking the harbor still awaiting some cosmetic touches however fully functional, self contained with 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom and offering sleeping arrangements for up to five people.

Located centrally with under 30kms to both Kaitaia and Pukenui townships and only a short 4kms from the crystal clear waters and white sands of stunning East Beach, an aquatic playground for all to enjoy.

Perfect Family Getaway in the Far North!

Fantastic holiday home! It had everything we needed, even to keep the kids (8 and 12) entertained on a rainy day. The attention to detail was impressive, making it super comfortable and stress-free. A perfect spot if you’re visiting the far, far north – highly recommend!

Quiet hilltop getaway

Lovely tidy 2 bedroom cottage with beautiful views. It had all we needed for a very comfortable stay, a quick visit from the lovely owner to check we were all settled and had all we needed, and very comfy beds!

Perfect little paradise away from home yet have all basic utensils in the kitchen. Loved star gazing as it’s pitch dark, played jenga with kids. Perfect spot for someone who wants to experience rural life. Host were friendly.

The perfect rural experience

Kaimaumau is a very special little community largely untouched by the rat race. Here you can slow right down to what ever pace you choose in the stunning surroundings of Rangaunu harbour. Kisrty and Roger are wonderful hosts and have added lovely small touches to make the place special.

Enjoyed our stay

We got the address a couple of days before checking in. It has what we need and we slept well there. No wifi but does have phone coverage. It's good for the kids not sticking to the devices. The location was great for a day trip to the top of north island, sand dunes and 90 miles beach. We liked our stay there. Thanks

This bach ticked all the boxes yet those pics captured as great as they are don't do justice for this gawjizzz cosy gem. Family was already in awe from our booking and pics viewed and I was already captured by lovely & friendly host Kirsty from her awesome & prompt responses from the beginning &- throughout our stay. Highly recommend this sweet & adorable bach. I'd definitely come again. Met all the basic requirements we needed and is well equipped. Glad it has no WiFi as it's a beautiful bach & spot to relax, unwind & so much more. Thank you very much Kirsty for being such a great & wonderful host - cheers for the kai moana too👌🏽😉

A beautiful spot who would have known. So glad it was the holidays with accommodation being so hard to get at such short notice but we were so lucky to secure this little hide away with such a terrific hostess by the name of Kirsty. Thank you so much for going to all the effort to make us feel so welcome and helping us out of an awkward predicament.
