The rooms are nice and well enough maintained (a few minor things like a ripped shower curtain), but they seem to have cut way back on routine cleaning. Room was clean on arrival and I put the "no service needed" sign up for first couple days, but when no one came on days 3 and 4 I asked and was told they only clean every 7 days. (Every 3 or 4 days could be OK, but this is too long.) No one came on day 7 either and so I had to ask and someone finally came on day 8. Plus, no one vacuumed the hallways the entire 2 weeks I was there...I took to noticing the same dirt and debris each time I came and left my room.
They seem to also be cutting costs on the breakfast. It was sparse. For instance, they had a big, 3-shelf, glass case across which they arranged 5 - 7 muffins each day. They didn't often restock them. Also I was dismayed by the level of waste; they use disposable Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils each meal. Not unique to this hotel, but I don't know why American hotels can't use real plates, glasses, and tableware and wash them.
Highway noise is audible on one side. Choose an odd numbered room.
Would not choose Staybridge for my next trip.
