Clueless front desk without management support

Posted Nov 23, 2010
At initial checkin, there was confusion with computer troubles. The front desk person was frustrated and without manager support to help her deal with the situation. I was given a room but discovered to my surprise that the room was already occupied by another customer. Went back to the front desk and, after some delay, was given another room only to discover that there was no television. Finally, several hours later, a TV was installed. The front desk person was inexperienced and not knowlegable, and management support was absent.

A quality Inn

Posted Sep 7, 2010
My experience at this hotel was very good and much better than expected. The staff was professional and courteous. The lobby, halls and my room were all bright (well lit) and very clean. The breakfast served in the morning was very popular with guests. There was a good variety of hot and cold items prepared and presented very well. The current level of quality has definitely improved over where it was when I stayed there about 3 years ago. I have a personal pet peeve about bad smells in hotels. This one passed. Yes, I will stay at this hotel again.

Best Hotel in a Boring Town

Posted Aug 11, 2010
We went down to Warm Springs, GA for a short getaway. Boy did we getaway. From restaurants, from entertainment, from shopping, from anything! There is a main street in warm springs that looks like a cute antique row but it was nothing but flea market junk. And there are only 3 restaurants in town. That all close between 7 and 8p! It's fairly ridiculous. Now the FDR Little White House state park is wonderful. But that's a two hour outing. Then, there is NOTHING else to do. We drove over to Pine Mountain to check out the dining near Calloway Gardens and the 20 minute drive was beautiful but the restaurants were unimpressive dumps. Now, if this review is supposed to be about the hotel - I've got 90% good things to say. It was clean, nicely staffed and quiet. It's not as tidy as it could be, we saw janitorial stuff laying about but overall, totally pleasant. So Best Western is a thumbs up, Warm Springs is a thumbs down. Except for the Bulloch House restaurant. I will drive the hour and a half from Atlanta just to eat there again.

Location is convenient to FDR Little White House and Warm Springs. Good restuarants in the area.

Typical, solid Best Western

Nice place, friendly staff. Appears to have been recently built. In all, a good, comfortable Best Western "businessman's hotel" with no glaring deficiencies.
