"Excellent functional hotel in the heart of Nottingham. Lace Market car park is opposite the hotel and there is a discount to normal prices by validating in hotel reception. Location of the hotel is literally 2 minutes from an area full of retail and bars/restaurants. We have previously stayed slightly outside city centre but this was a real find. "The property is tired and rooms and bathrooms need updating. Beautiful old hotel with history! Staff extremely helpful with a smile. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the boiler was not working in the main building but the rooms with hot water were too hot in 30+ degree temps, uncomfortable to sleep in, so we were given both rooms, one where it was cool enough to sleep in and the other we can have hot water. Very accommodating! Thank you."

"The car park was next to hotel room was clean with coffee and also bottles of water. Nice selection for breakfast but not much selection for evening meal .But because the information in the room wasn't updated it said the restaurant was closed and didn't find out till the last night."
