Although not a resort or on the beach. Kura Botanica is in a prime location. You’re in Kura Hulanda village in downtown Otrabanda, Tons of restaurants, a gelato shop next door, bars, art, shops and a museum nearby. Meters away from Queen Emma’s bridge, Riff Fort. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was a nice spot to relax and there a bar by the pool area. We paid for the breakfast and are glad we did. The breakfast area is located at the Freedom cafe which is like 4/5min walk away (not hard to find you can also use google map). For breakfast they had: scrambled and boiled eggs you could also request an omelette, fruits, oatmeal, breads, croissants, sausage, pastries, cereal, coffee, tea, juice… there was something for everyone
You can walk across the floating pontoon bridge to get to Punda right across the water or take the ferry when the bridge is closed, there are also many stores as well as crafts shop located in that area. Plasa Bieu is a must go for truly local cuisine in Punda but make sure to go early.
It’s the perfect location if you don’t plan on renting a car. And if you do rent a car opt for a compact, the streets are narrow.
