“Okay - speaking as the wife of a train buff, staying here as a birthday surprise was a no brainer. The question was - would I regret it? Is a vacay stay in a caboose comfortable or just kitschy? It was a blast. The grounds are gorgeous. The view? Clear Lake! What’s not to like? A fun pool on campus (with abundant floats - I was big on the giant pink flamingo) and access to stand up paddle boards and kayaks for the lake. Dock access to the lake is right across the street if lake sports are in……

“We loved our stay here and highly recommend it. Wished we had booked an extra day so we could take advantage of the kayaks on the pond! We cooked multiple meals on the stove & in the oven. Everything in the unit worked well and the beds were firm & comfortable. ”
