“This is great little bungalow hotel just outside of the main area of Mendocino. The rooms were modern and clean, the grounds are nice, and there's actually a quite good view of the ocean out of the back window of many of the rooms. All around, we had a lovely time and would stay here again!”

“We traveled with our best friends to stay for a week in this gorgeous home. It has all the amenities that you can think of & a few extra! The view was amazing. We liked the rocker glider on the deck so much that we ordered one to be delivered when we got home as did our besties who were traveling with us. “Surfood Getaway was perfectly located minutes from downtown Mendocino and close to lots of hiking. The house was clean and decorated well. Lots of parking and 4 rooms for a big family. We enjoyed cooking and watching movies on the big screen TV. Kitchen items need an upgrade. There's only one frying pan and it is well used and icky. Only one hot mitt that is so thin you burn your hands pulling things from the oven. No cutting board. Neighbors dogs are almost always outside and they bark……

“We loved the house! Upon entering, the first thing that came to my mind was "WOW, what a steal!" Picturesque views and the proximity to town made our vacation so enjoyable! Loved the little path down to the beach, definitely wish we had done that more. Just a few downsides though. The bed wasn't that comfortable for us, but that's just a preference for a firmer bed. Also the "paperwork" was a bit much and a little annoying. Other than that, we had a very good time and highly recommend this……

“This home is stunning and exceeded our expectations. Views are amazing from the home and the walk to the cliff is perhaps 2 minutes and the beach just a few minutes more. The area is serene and at most you see a few joggers or a couple other people hiking. The office was a perfect place to take a few morning calls before a lovely breakfast on the beach. We didn’t cook a full meal (we picked up chowder and crab sandwiches in Bodega Bay to bring up with us), but the kitchen was well appointed……

“The house and location are excellent, quite comfortable and well equipped with easy acces to wonderful beaches. The house host is EXTREMELY considerate and polite. My ONLY negative, which is no hindrance to a return visit, and accounts for the 4 star rating on "accuracy of online listing" is that the accompanying photograph suggests an on-the-bluff location and view for this "ocean view home". Such a view does not exist from this home. A more accurate photograph is recommended. G.S.”

“Ocean knoll is a great destination to enjoy the amazing beauty of the northern Sonoma coast. The location is amazing with incredible views of the wide open ocean. It’s close to the golf course, great hiking trails, the Gualala Point Regional Park and the town of Gualala which has some great restaurants as well as an excellent grocery store. The house is extremely comfortable and very well stocked with just about anything you could need in the kitchen. We look forward to our stay every year.”
