Hi Amichele, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: "We know our house is not directly on the lake, so we have provided a golf cart and canoe/kayak trailer to make lake access easier. The listing instructions note the distance is 0.2 miles. We understand the confusion about the sign; it was put there by one of the boat slip dock owners and doesn't apply to the lake access trail. We will look into replacing it. Lake Hartwell shoreline is owned by the Army Corp of Engineers and they have regulations on tree and underbrush removal to help with erosion and runoff into the lake. Even though it goes through the trees, the lake access trail is wide and has a wood chip surface. The entire Lake Place community is wooded with tall oaks that provide privacy and shade and help keep it cooler in the summer."
