Awesome wee piece of paradise!
Posted Mar 30, 2024 on HomeAwayWe were really just wanting a roof over our heads for our friends wedding in Tata Beach...but instead we found a real wee piece of paradise at John and Pene's place. It's a little bit of a shock to the system using a compost toilet (and showering on the deck), but the tranquil, private location meant we could really relax and unwind - surrounded by the fantails and Weka. The home-grown fruit and vege's were a nice touch too. Fully recommend this to anyone!

A Beautiful and Rustic Getaway
Posted Mar 7, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time staying here. The location was excellent because of its proximity to Ligar Bay, Tara Beach, and Wainui Bay. The bed was very comfortable and the view was such a treat to wake up to each morning. The indoor/outdoor shower and kitchen made the experience feel connected to the stunning natural surroundings. And the hosts were fantastic communicators and very hospitable. Definitely would recommend staying.

Quirky cabin oasis

We enjoyed swimming at the beach at Ligar Bay and Tata beach, Wainui Falls walk and a pub dinner in Pohara. Handy location and a very quirky wee cabin with everything we needed to enjoy a getaway.
