“Good breakfast, clean quiet room...BUT ...the advertised on site restaurant was not there “we’ve never had one”. I’m beginning to wonder if the problem might be with Expedia. This latest trip was three nights and two out of three of the lodgings that we booked were advertised by Expedia as having on site restaurants which were non existent . Expedia should review the accuracy of its information, since it is unlikely that a facility would report an on site restaurant when they’ve never had one. I……

“Came to the area to evacuate from hurricane Isaias; the front door said that there were no vacancies and that the rooms were booked. I wound up getting a room here on Expedia and the front desk. Girl looked at me like I was crazy when I said I had a reservation. I almost didn’t believe that it went through because she was certain that there were no availabilities they did let me check in early, but the room was nasty. There was garbage still in the trash cans; had a maintenance person, some sort……

“There were a lot of guest hanging out in front of their rooms drinking and going in and out of their vehicles. Looked like most were transient workers. The shower control knob was not screwed in to the valve so you had to hold it on when using it. The continental breakfast was minimal at best.”

“Highly recommend this sweet cottage! Very private, well maintained and close to many activities.”

“It’s hard to write this review because the hosts were wonderful and the chickens and horses were fun. I knew that it was going to be cold, but I would not have booked the room knowing there was a space heater which can be a fire hazard. I also think it was very overpriced. We were in a pinch so had no real choice. Definitely wouldn’t stay there again. ”

“Very much a glamping experience with a good helping of farm life!! If the outdoors is your cup of tea, this place is for you! Great communication and loads of hospitality!”

“Peaceful, clean, and well-kept property. We had a lovely stay and especially enjoyed the massage chair! The host communicated everything upfront and welcomed our dogs, which was great. The fenced in backyard was perfect to let them run off-leash without any worries. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Everything was perfect! Lovely host and can’t wait to return! ”

“Nice clean house with an affordable price.”

“We stayed here for a family reunion, and although our visit was only two days, it wasn’t nearly long enough! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and offered a peaceful lake view that made our stay even more enjoyable. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in while traveling. The house is spacious with several beautiful sitting areas, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and spend time together. One of our favorite……

“We were in town for a baseball state tournament. This was a fantastic place to stay for multiple families. This house has been newly updated and is beautiful in the inside. It was a very short distance to the Sportsplex. The host is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this house to all those families coming into Live Oak!”
