Riad parfait pour un séjour à Marrakech

Riad typique de 6 chambres, plein de charme, à 10 min à pied de la place Jema Elfna. Chambre et salle de bain propres. Déco locale et lieux communs très agréables. Petit déjeuners maison, très bons. Accueil au top avec Brahim, qui est plein de bons conseils, de bonnes adresses et toujours agréable et souriant. Il fait au mieux pour concilier les demandes de chacun. Je conseil vivement pour passer un bon séjour à Marrakech.

Avoid at all costs.

This place is garbage. I showed up, with a hotels.com reservation and was shown to my room. I spent the day in and out of the room doing work. In the early evening, they decided they were no longer going to honor my reservation and forced me to leave. Thankfully I found a hostel which was significantly nicer and cheaper than this place, and with better internet. If you can avoid it, AVOID IT.

Bodde här med min familj ( två rum 4 vuxna) en vecka i början av januari 2018. VI hade en fantastisk tid. Rummet var alltid rent och hemtrevligt. Brahim kunde inte göra nog för oss. Utmärkt läge. Längtar talar starkt nog av hotellet manager, Brahim.

Excellent- highly recommended!

Excellent little riad with a comfortable bed, lovely clean sheets and towels, strong wifi (enough to stream Netflix). Great hot water in the shower, and a beautiful bathroom. We also had a couch to sit on, so that we didn't have to sit on the bed. The plunge pool was refreshing after a day out in the heat of Marrakech. The breakfast was varied, & tasty. The roof top terrace was a nice place to sit and enjoy a bottle of local wine & beer. Best of all Brahim the manager was very helpful in everything we needed. They even did our washing for a small fee. Highly recommended!!

Book it knowing it'll be a great experience!

The Riad Smara is located in the heart of the Medina (10min walk to the town square) and a fabulous getaway from the craziness of the Medina at the same time. It's super quiet inside the Riad with only 8 rooms and an overall pleasant experience. The hotel manager, Ibraham or Brahim (he goes by both), lives on premises and is incredibly accommodating. He makes breakfast each morning inclusive of crapes, donuts, fresh bread, coffee, fresh orange juices, jams, etc. Brahim makes the difference with the Riad. If you drink alcohol (which is impossible to find in the Medina), they have plenty of options at the Riad and fairly priced. Also, as of March 2017, the WiFi worked everywhere in the Riad inclusive of the roof, the room, and in the lobby. Just an FYI: I would highly recommend hiring a service from the airport to the Riad as it's a little hard to find right off the bat. However, this is a benefit once you're there because it's quiet. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and next time I'm in Marrakech, it's the place I would choose.

Lovely stay at Riad Smara

I really loved staying at Riad Smara. It was beautiful and the staff was really nice and welcoming. Though it was located at very dark corner and I had to go through a sort of scary time to find it out.

Really enjoyed our stay here, amazingly quiet from the hustle and bustle! The Riad manager was lovely and extremely helpful. Amazing breakfasts and enjoyed the rooftop terrace.

Magnifique Riad typique, dépaysement garantie!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au Riad Smara à Marrakech (situé à 10min à pieds de la place Jemaa el Fna). L'hôte était d'une gentillesse incomparable! Il a fait de notre séjour un séjour inoubliable, nous a aidé à nous retrouver dans la ville, nous a conseillé des sites incontournables, ... toujours avec le sourire et la bonne humeur! On a très bien mangé dans ce riad magnifiquement décoré et typiquement marocain du sol au plafond. Nous recommandons absolument ce riad à toute personne cherchant à vivre l'expérience Marrakech dans un cadre plus que typique!

A gem!

Our family of four adults spent 3 nights at Riad Smara. Apart from being hard to find when we first arrived after dark, we have nothing but praise for the Riad and for the wonderful service provided by Brahim. Would gladly recommend to other travellers!

Attention à éviter

Nous allons à Marrakech très souvent et nous séjournons toujours en Riad . En premier, aucun contact suite à la réservation, nous avons cherché à contacter le Riad pour prévenir de notre heure d'arrivée, impossible de les joindre. Lors de notre arrivée, nous avons du attendre près de 10 min devant la porte avant que quelqu'un nous ouvre . Accueil par une femme de chambre ne parlant pas le français, elle nous dit que le gérant va arriver, 20 minutes plus tard toujours personne. La chambre décrit comme une suite ne correspond pas à la taille indiquée , environ 14 m2 la chambre et 4 m2 la salle de bain. Mobilier correct mais juste le minimum, pas de bouteille d'eau offerte, dans la salle de bain pas d'échantillon ... Le matelas très usé, et couché on se retrouve avec les pieds plus hauts que le corps, sensation très inconfortable. Attention une mosquée juste à côté ... Donc le réveil à 5 h est brutal ! Petit déjeuner correct mais vaisselle et propreté à revoir. Wifi instable et juste dans le patio et le salon, mais impossibilité de travailler car la connexion ne tient pas. Le gérant n'est ni accueillant, ni disponible, juste la pour encaisser. A l'encaissement grosse surprise, le Riad applique un taux de change de 11 et n'applique pas le taux de change quotidien, la taxe de séjour qui est de 23dh ( 15 pour la commune et 8 pour la trésorerie) le Riad applique une taxe de séjour de 25 DH sans explications et ajoute 4% de frais de CB, alors que les frais sont de 3%. À éviter

A great riad

This is a great riad, very clean and organized. The owner, Ibrahim, was very helpful in all the stay. Breakfest is good, wifi is far from ok, and some problems with the room occured because everyday we moved from one to another one with no reason.

Great Location-Enjoyed our Stay

Clean & tidy during our stay everyday. We didn't eat breakfast, but if we had any questions, they were always answered. We were given a lot of helpful information about where we were and given a map to orient us. The rooftop of the riad was nice to rest on and catch some sun. Located near the central square and not difficult to find.

Un buon riad ad un prezzo economico. Ottima l'ospitalità di Brahim sorridente e premuroso. Vicino alla Piazza (10 minuti), raggiungibile comunque anche con un'auto. utile il servizio di navetta da e per l'aeroporto. La piscina nel patio deve essere una chicca in una stagione più calda di quella di Natale. Consigliato

Great location

This is a beautiful riad close to the centre of the Medina. It's a bit more expensive than many of the alternatives, but the breakfast and food is great and the place very well kept. If you're considering a traditional hamam and massage while in Marrakesh our recommendation would be to go somewhere outside of Riad Smara. The hamam was basically a room where you could take a shower and the room they used for massage and spa treatments felt more like a storage room.
