When we decided to visit Acadia national park we looked at several different options. This one stood out as the cottages have their own space with fire pits and grills. The staff is super friendly and answer any questions and gave amazing suggestions! On the drive out we ran into a little traffic and when we texted the staff to let them know. They offered to get us supplies so we could relax. I wish we could give them 10 stars! We have decided that when we come up each year this is our spot! Thank you for helping create memories that will last a lifetime!

Loved the charm, cleanliness, decor and location. However, internet was so bad we couldn’t watch more than a few seconds of YouTube at a time. Upstairs shower had the lowest flow we’ve ever seen, even with volume turned up to maximum. Dishwasher was commercial and required many manual steps lifting basket, etc and special soap that we never found. Easier to hand wash. No laundry and outdoor light didn’t work at night so we stepped in dog pooh getting out of the car when we arrived. Beautiful little place that needs some attention.

At the top of Mt Battie in Camden, Maine is this tower, constructed in 1921 as a WWI Memorial. There used to be a hotel on this site, but it was torn down in 1920. The tower was built on the site on the former hotel, and several stones from the hotel were used in the construction of the tower.
