"We loved the retro style of the room"

"Originally I didn't have this hotel booked. I booked another one in town and hotels.com switched my stay dates (and yes I know I booked it for the days I was staying so I don't know what happened with the website). Anyway, I ended up panic-booking a room at the econo lodge. This experience was amazing. I booked a smoking room by mistake (again, because it was a panic moment where I had to get a room somewhere for the night lol). I got there and explained everything to the girl at the counter. She was very, very nice and accommodating. She was able to switch my room to non-smoking. It was clean and smelled good. There was also a pool which looked super clean and the property was well-maintained. There were spots in the room that needed some paint on them but that is literally the only flaw I could report here. I'm pretty low-maintenance so that stuff doesn't bother me. Main points: Air conditioning was amazing, the whole room was clean, shower and toilet worked perfectly, plenty of towels, bed was made and comfy, fridge was great, and there were outlets by the bed to plug my phone charger in I will definitely be booking with them again!"

"During our stay, there was an issue with the water for the historic cabins. The day we checked in, there was no water until late afternoon. The following day, we were told the water would be shut off from 7:00-7:30AM. We hurried in the morning to get ready only to have the water be shut off at 6:45AM. Although it was only 15 minutes earlier than we were told, it was an inconvenience due to the timing of the shut off. The staff didn’t seem to understand our frustration which was disappointing. Our cabin was quaint and very clean although the outside needed some repair. The lobby area of the hotel was very nice. We did not see the other cabins or the hotel rooms. The location is fabulous for Mammoth Cave National Park. The visitor’s center is a two minute walk from the hotel lobby which was very convenient."
