“I wanted to like this place, but overall it fell short. The room felt pretty worn down, with scratched-up walls and exposed plumbing in the bathroom that made it feel unfinished and not very well maintained. The biggest issue for me was the in-wall AC unit. It’s an older style, and unfortunately there was a bird’s nest in the exterior housing. Throughout the night, I kept hearing scratching and metal noises that made it really hard to sleep. I told the girl at the front desk. She apologized but……

“The property is a beautifully restored Victorian house and our room had amenities such as a fridge, coffee maker, hot pot, and robes. There were dishes and a microwave was available in the hall. We stayed in the Cedar room, which had a view of Nelson from up high. Although it has a detached bathroom down the hall, the bathroom is for that room only. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially assisting us to get an early check in because my husband was ill. Highly recommend!”
