Loved everything about the place, it’s slightly remote which added to the overall appeal. It did offer breakfast at a price, though there is no restaurant at the facility, Kaslo is a few minutes away with plenty of options. You want peace and quiet with access to an amazing area to explore, I would strongly recommend The Sentinel.

Not what I expected when I booked it, but pleasantly surprised. It’s a great set up with lovely rooms and bathrooms with underfloor heating. The common area in the main house is a great place to meet in the morning for coffee ( good machine and great coffee). Log burner with redwood logs. The staff ( Janet and Daniel) were very helpful and pleasant. I’d stay there again if passing through.

Helpful staff, especially when needing to change rooms! Would have preferred a small fridge in our room for convenience of breakfast, etc. A great retreat with many relaxing things to do. Wish we'd stayed longer to enjoy them all!

Our trip to The Sentinel was originally planned to celebrate my husband’s birthday, but somewhere along the way life, work, and the everyday hustle had started taking a toll on our marriage. We needed more than a getaway… we needed time to truly reconnect. When I booked our stay at The Sentinel, I honestly had no idea just how special this place would be. The peace and serenity there was exactly what our hearts needed. The breathtaking views of the lake and mountains created the perfect atmosphere to slow down, breathe, and simply be together again. Somewhere between the quiet mornings, the beautiful scenery, and uninterrupted time together… we found each other again. More importantly, we remembered exactly why we fell in love in the first place. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect, and recharge your soul, The Sentinel is truly something special.

Overall, Sentinel is a peaceful and lovely place. Nice hot tub and sauna. It’s not convenient to restaurants or grocery. Sentinel advertised common kitchen but disallowed guests from using it. There is only a medium sized shared fridge and small microwave. Limited staff. Believe long term guests acts as staff on some chores in the property. Potential of a top rate facility but refinements are necessary.

Amazing experience

Our experience started with a lobelt rext from janet welcoming us and checking to see when we would arrive. Upon arrival we were greated by janet and the onsite dog clyde. We received a lovely tour and then was taken to our room which was amazing. The view of the mountains and lake from our bed was spectacular. I would recommend the Sentinal to anyone.

We had one night stay at Sentinel. We were looking for secluded and quiet area for our couple getaway. The property was clean and breakfast was awesome. Only feedback is that owners live on the property and always there in the main kitchen and coffee room which kind of made the whole experience little bit wierd. They were all nice and welcoming though.
