"My husband and I enjoyed this lovely "hideaway" for our 15th anniversary! We had a quiet, private retreat for a day before having our 9 year old son join us the next day. All of us loved the outdoor kitchen/screen house area and hope to some day build something similar at our own home. The outdoor shower was also a big hit for each of us. We didn't use the campfire pit and barely visited the stream during our stay, but would have loved to if we had stayed longer. Inside, the cabin was comfy and cozy for eating, watching DVDs and just enjoying a relaxing time hanging out together. We appreciated the apples, cereal bars & farm fresh eggs that Lois & Paul so kindly provided for our stay. The area was full of nice sightseeing adventures in God's magnificent creation - beautiful views, rivers, streams, lakes, moose, deer, fishing & swimming were all enjoyed. Our son was begging to go back next year as we packed up to leave after an all too short stay! Thank you, Lois & Paul, for a special time, and the late check-out you allowed us! We hope to visit your Highland Hideaway again in the future! 😊💗"

"The house was clean and beautiful. Ken and Lindsey were amazing to deal with. We even got to enjoy a thunderstorm on the lake so pretty. Definately felt like home away from home. Didnt want to leave at the end. Neighbors were friendly didnt bother us at all. Would reccomend 10/10"

"We throughly enjoyed the house. It was well equipped and loved the porch. The master bed was great! The lock on the door does not work and we had to use a key. The mosquitos were awful there but not at other places we visited. Wonder if there is a breeding ground for them close by and they need to spray. They limited our time outside even during the day."

"I think I can honestly say this has become our favorite spot. We travel all over up north, Maine and new hampsire. This was such a peaceful quiet clean spot. 4 cabins and a building with 4 hotel style rooms. Surrounded by woods. It was perfect"
