Front desk staff was pleasant on arrival. We were assigned a room that the outside door lock could not be operated with a key card. It was nearly at the opposite corner of the building from the only operating exterior door into the lobby (mind you it was single digits with -20 wind chill). Staff then said that the outside door did not work. Would’ve been nice to know. We were then assigned a different room a couple of doors down that had a trick to close the outside door. Better than the previous I guess. During the overnight we discovered that the heater did not respond to temperature changes on the controller and instead required it to be physically shut off to prevent a sweltering room in the middle of the night. This did not make for a restful stay. Having stayed at this location multiple times over the years I definitely expected a better experience. Tough to find lodging in this area so either you travel farther or it’s what you settle with.
