"We loved our stay here. The drive in is part of the adventure, and once you arrive, it feels completely removed from the busy tourist areas. The house was well stocked, comfortable, and perfect for unplugging and relaxing. The living room AC worked great, the outdoor shower was amazing, and the views and peaceful atmosphere made the entire experience unforgettable.The grounds are beautiful, with gorgeous flowers, fruit trees everywhere, and geckos plentiful around the property, which really added to the tropical feel. The host was kind, genuine, and clearly cared about guests having a great stay.We’d absolutely come back."

"We couldn't have been happier with our week long stay! Well, maybe a master bedroom door upstairs. The views are spectacular, the beds and pillows were comfortable, plenty of towels and extra bedding is available and the kitchen is well stocked. The tradewinds that blew through the house were amazing! Our only complaint is the water was a little hotter than what we would consider warm, but not hot. My husband was okay with it. FYI: There is a trick to the master bathroom shower, it's a little difficult to get to turn hot on occasion. It will stay cold when it's turned to hot, other times it's just fine. It took me about 10 min. to figure it out the first day, but I just kept waiting and waiting. There was hot water downstairs, so I knew it had to be something. Finally, after turning it down and back up a couple times, it worked no problem. Knowledge is power. It was simple. We flew in to share in our 1st granddaughters 1st Birthday and had a little celebration dinner for her and lets just say she had a great time be-bopping around the space, we blocked the stairs with the ottoman, worked like a charm. They even had a highchair!It was close enough to everything, that we didn't feel like we were missing any action and could experience Kona, Honokaa, and Hilo without driving forever. The Views!!! Our daughter lives in Honokaa and we alternate yearly visits. We will be renting it again, if available, on our next trip.Thank you for such a wonderful home away from home."

"I didnt actually get to stay here so I cant speak to any of the amenities. Host was reasonably communicative but I never received the email or text messages with check in instructions and was left without a place to stay at 9pm. VRBO assistance helped me cancel and book a backup which was a flawless process but the host then claimed the booking was cancelled due to an age related policy even though I’m 30…. You would think that would have prevented me from booking the reservation in the first place instead of cancelling out from under me and only giving me 75% of my refund but is what it is. The place looked awesome and really would have liked to stay here but terrible experience overall."

"This is a very nice place to stay. Close to shopping, Starbucks, Foodliner and restaurants. Tucked just off the main road into Waimea. Very friendly staff. Clean, airy room. All recently remodeled."
