"We wanted to visit Starved Rock State Park but couldn't find anywhere to stay really close by. So we decided to expand our search and we're so glad we did! The Tiskilwa Inn was such a treat (and still only 40 minutes from the park). The house was built in 1848 and you can still see some of that history, but bathrooms, kitchen, etc. have been completely updated recently so you get the best of both worlds.
