"Room was very clean. My coffee maker and curtains needed repair. Pool chairs and other outside furniture very worn. Pool itself looked clean but pool area is very unattractive so I never used it. No plants or decor. Just the beating sun. I didn’t get entry instructions but someone did answer phone in middle of night and help me get in. They had sent them to Expedia but I used Hotels.com; not sure if that was the reason. There appears to never be staff on site. One has to search for public entrance to get to ocean. Not a direct walk. Both north and south about 1 block on the main drag and you can find entrances. Hotel is not near any food or shops. Ok if you have a car. Not great if you do not. Hotel located about 0.5 mi north of the main beach area with the pier. I know one room was locked out (lock broke) and waited 2 hours door get in. Another room had terrible cockroaches. I thought that I got why I paid for. Next time I will pay more to have a better location. "

"They kick us out of our room because we had young kids with us said we had more than four people they wanted me and my wife to be in separate rooms with our children we only had one night remaining and they kick us out because we would not book another room for the last night of a two day stay short notice booking due to or last accommodations being over book we had to book here not by choice but was only thing available at the time in our budget. Staff suck lack compassion and understanding kids are under 7 years old youngest 3 it was said we went to Marriott instead of staying there one more night."

"We had a wonderful vacation at the Beachcomber Resort! The hotel staff, from check-in to the restaurant, pool and beach attendants, bartenders, etc. were friendly and solicitous. The grounds were beautiful, with two pools and a recreation area with cornhole and ping-pong. It was cool the first two days of our stay, but we still enjoyed a swim in the pool which was heated to about 80 degrees. We enjoyed happy hour at the bar every night along with the musical entertainment. The food was great at the bar and at Deep restaurant. The view from our balcony was awesome, overlooking the resort and the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel is older, and while the rooms have been renovated and are very comfortable, the bathroom is dated but has been refreshed and is compact and efficient with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. The Beachcomber is an oasis in the midst of condominium row and had a more intimate, community vibe rather than that of a hotel chain. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!"
