The Good: it’s in a great location. The companion Zion adventures group offers very affordable transportation to hike trail heads. The pool was nice. For a campground, this place is average, but they don’t call themselves a campground.
The Bad: if you’re gonna call yourself a resort, you better be top notch. The bathhouse was nasty. My wife told me the women’s bathroom was probably worse than the men’s bathroom. I know it’s hard to keep a public bathroom up to snuff but again if you say you’re a resort, that’s a minimum. We stayed in a clamping tent and it was a considerable distance from the bathhouse, which makes going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. A lot of fun. I didn’t see a way to select the tent location to minimize that distance to the bathhouse. There was a nasty smell like raw sewage that wafted into our tent on the huge a few occasions. You have to bring your own soap and shampoo for the bathhouse and maybe that should’ve been obvious but it wasn’t to us.
The Ugly: the attitude of the staff in general. The front desk wasn’t particularly helpful. The fellas running around on golf carts would run you over if you didn’t get out of their way.
This place actually has a lot of potential. The outside of the buildings and the façade look really nice. They just need to spend more time on the inside. We asked to be moved from the glamping tent to a cabin with indoor plumbing and we were told nothing was available when it looked like there were other places.
