This is not a hotel, despite the description. It's an apartment in a regular apartment building. Which means a common lobby (smelly and dirty) with no concierge, room service, or even extra toilet paper roll for the week of stay that I was there. Inside the apartment looks as in the photographs, but shabbier and dirtier. The bed was broken on one side (I was alone and could just sleep on the other side), the mattress was horrible, the sheets smelled like kitchen. The bathroom has no shower, just a giant bathtub with a hand-held shower which spits water in every direction with enormous force. The water, by the way, takes about 20 minutes to become warm, and I was advised by the management that I have to turn on the faucets in both the kitchen and the bathroom, to speed up that process. The windows are looking directly at a brick wall about 2 meters away. In short, for about 10 bucks more per night you can have a 2-room suite with warm floors in the bathroom, cleaning service every day, and every convenience of a modern hotel--that's where I stayed last time and thats where I'll be in the future.

This appartment is perfectly sittuated, it has a big bath but due to a tiny boiler you can only have about 2 inches of water before the hot water runs out. It says it has a balcony but in fact it doesnt, its not the cleanest place i have ever stayed but for a few days its a ok place to stay, there are certainly better appartments in the same area.

Great apartment right in the city centrePosted Feb 9, 2014 on Hotels
The apartment was lovely and very spacious. The interior was unusual but very good, it has wooden beams, wooden breakfast table and a wooden curved cupboard. The size of the bath tub was massive. The apartment is just a minute walk up from independence square. Would recommend this place.

Прекрасное расположение в центре городаPosted Oct 7, 2013 on Hotels

kiev apartment Rustica : Kostelna street 9Posted May 31, 2011
I stayed in this apartment for 3 days in May 2011. The best part is the location (next to Maidan square) and the second best is that the apartment is spacious with good internet connection included BUT... it is an apartment rented out by a Dating Service called Interdating (which I did not know) and first you have to go and find the keys at their offices that are almost impossible to find. They are open only till 18h, after that they leave the key at some person who does not understand 1 word of English... Second, they don't care much about how you are doing...I had not hot water for 3 days but had to pay the full price ...the only hot water came dripping through an electrical system - not even enough for a normal shower. I complained several times, they promised to do something but it never happened... I was going to come back after 3 days and needed another apartment for 1 night, they promised me to contact me with details and information, but never did. Luckily I booked the RUS Accord hotel for 1 night, same price, clean and practical (not so down town but the taxis are cheap or walk 10 minutes to the centre) and good breakfast. I would not advice people to rent with Interdating if you are not looking for a bride...and pay much more probably. PS in the centre you hardly find any supermarkets...
