beautiful home and setting
Posted Oct 31, 2023 on HomeAwayWe loved the villa and the surrounding vineyard setting! It was a difficult drive up without signage around the villa and would recommend arriving during daylight. But the drive was worth it!!

Beautiful house and vineyards

Amazing Quinta surrounded by beautiful vineyards
Posted Sep 15, 2022 on HomeAwayThis property was so fantastic, I stayed there with 7 other adults and there would have easily been room for 2+ more. The house was clean, great facilities, comfortable beds, towels, everything we could have asked for.
We were able to explore the Douro valley and also spend time by the pools and walking around the properties vineyards. We went in September which was a wonderful time as different Quinta’s we’re starting to harvest. The house has a lovely vineyard and you can see hills and hills of vineyards as far as the eye can see. We would happily come back again!

Posted Aug 27, 2022 on HomeAwayWe had the most amazing time, the house is perfect , every room en-suite, lost of social areas both indoors and out so plenty of space for a big group but also very intimate for fewer people as the decor is so nice. The views are amazing, you are in the real heart of the Douro, the road there is narrow and windy but we managed no problem at all in our suv. The winery is a top end boutique producer and the wines are fabulous. Woul d also recommend the cook service as it was excellent. Can’t speak more highly , philippa was so helpful and accommodating and it was nothing less than a perfect stay. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back for a longer visit.

Spectacular property and views of Duro Valley

Also, the wine from the property was very good, truly high quality. Can't say enough about The hosts and the property.

Breathtaking views
Posted May 26, 2022 on HomeAwayPhilippa was over the top helpful and responsive. She assisted with directions, restaurant and activity recommendations and COVID testing. The house was spacious, clean, well equipped and very easy to live in. The property is lovely. The pool, gardens and seating areas are beautiful and inviting. The views are breathtaking. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful vacation spot among the vineyards in the picturesque Douro valley to enjoy with family or friends. Thanks Philippa!

Wonderful stay at the heart of the Douro
Posted Aug 17, 2021 on HomeAwayAmazing experience in a wonderful property, fully equipped and with an easy communication with all the Quinta dos Macedos team. Philippa and Paul were extremely attentive and kind enough to show us around the winery and the property. The house has everything needed for a perfect stay. Only comment to be made on our side is to bear in mind that the access can be tricky but once you get used to the narrow roads, it is fine. We want to thank everyone in the Quinta for this week, everyone in our group (7 people in total) was pleased with the stay and hope to come back.
