"This place was a home away from home. Simple and quaint!! Marie and John were wonderful host. They shared local favorites for restaurants and beaches. Told us where to snorkel with turtles and what were things we had to do while there. We suggest you rent a car as you are away from the tourist area but that is exactly what we wanted. The beach out front did not disappoint. You can still drive a short distance to get to all the hustle and bustle and the tourist attractions and then return back...

"It was a nice hidden affordable gem just steps from the beach! the property was well maintained and the best part was it was close to a local bar (recommend getting the small chicharrones) a breakfast place right behind and a market 2 minutes away walking, Eagle beach is only 15 mins away by car.11/10 would stay here again. Highly recommend if you are looking for basic amenities and want to get away from the touristy area. Local are very nice."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay and truly enjoyed every moment of our 7 nights at this hotel. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the food was quite good with plenty of options. The beach was beautiful, the water was wonderfully warm, and the entire property was lovely, clean, and beautifully landscaped with palm trees. It really felt like a tropical paradise, and we made so many wonderful memories here. The only area we feel could use some improvement is the guest rooms. While our room was clean, it was noticeable that it had not been renovated in quite some time, and some of the furniture showed significant wear. We would love to see the rooms refreshed and updated in the future, as this would make an already wonderful resort even better. We also have one small suggestion that might be helpful for guests: installing permanent metal drying racks on the balconies for swimsuits and wet beachwear. It would be such a convenient and practical addition, especially at a beach resort. Overall, we had an amazing vacation and these were truly some of the best 7 nights we have spent on vacation. Thank you to the entire team for the beautiful atmosphere, hospitality, and wonderful memories. We would be very happy to return! ❤️🌴🌊"

"Hotel needs updating but overall, a good stay. Outside areas were well kept. Lobby needs more seating. Restaurants not open long enough to accommodate dinner guests. Shows were mediocre. Room was clean. Contracted security at resort was rude."

"This is the perfect getaway for adults and couples who just need to relax, get refreshed and recharged. The rooms are splendid, the staff, wow, super-courteos and always ready to help. The entire property is clean and well maintained. Breakfast at Solanio is on another level. You can't take it all in with just a trip, you definitely need to go back multiple times to maximize the experience. Highly recommend vacationing here."

"This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at the coral reef. We love Jenny and her husband, Eric. They take care of the place. Graciela and Victor also work there and couldn’t be more gracious and helpful. We will definitely stay there again. The people there are like family to us."
