Manager was very helpful and chatty I would recommend the Colonsay Hotel for shorts stays , not because there is anything wrong with it , the staff , ir the island but it is a small island and there is only so much you can do. The rooms were wonderfully furnished and the attention to detail throughout the property was evident at every turn. The grounds, in particular the walk to the beach, were well done and drew us in for regular strolls. Didn't play golf this time, but have in the past . . . highly recommended. I had a huge room with a seaview and big modern bathroom with lovely Scottish toiletries. I thoroughly enjoyed a hot bath after a cold day out on the bike. They have a big indoor room around the back of the hotel where you can store your bike. Huge comfortable bed and the room was comfortably warm. Busy, friendly bar and restaurant and I had a lovely steak pie for dinner. "Charmant hôtel situé à proximité de la majestueuse rivière Sligachan. Chambre confortable. Nous avons eu un petit problème de manque d’eau chaude dans la douche, mais l’employée a été très serviable et a réglé le problème. Excellent déjeuner. Je vous recommande. Également de souper au bar adjacent (Seamus), bon repas avec une ambiance festive."

"I had an amazing stay at Hame Hotel on the Isle of Skye. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and well organized, making our stay very easy. The location is stunning and very central for exploring the island. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have a great common area with an honesty bar that is well stocked.
The food was a highlight - we had all of our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel, and every meal was delicious with a great view of the mountains!

"Nice, simple, clean room in Benbecula, South Uist. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. There is a nice hotel restaurant a short walk away from the Hebridian Stay. We would stay here again the next time we visit south/north Uist."
