WONDERFUL VACATION!!!

My first vrbo reservation and stay will be hard to top. I visited Washington to surprise my sister who I had not seen for 3 years. This location was a hit with all of us (5 in total). Upon arrival, we checked out the house and grounds. Just perfect for relaxing and hanging out. Julie and Rick left goodies for us to enjoy--and we did. At the end of the night I climbed into bed, and thought were did they get this mattress and pillows--I want for my house. So comfortable!!!!!! Thanks again for making our stay so enjoyable. Next time I visit sissy I'll be staying, but for a much longer visit😊😊😊😊😊

We loved it here!

This place was better than described and has us often trying to figure out a way to come back. We couldn't have asked for a better first VRBO experience. The accommodations are well appointed and left the five of us not wanting or needing a single item. Julie and Rick have truly thought of everything and are ready to help if you do find you are in need of something. This includes before you even get there - like answering all the questions you may think are silly asking as a new VRBO user. Julie answered them all and put us at ease. The property is in a beautiful lakeside area amongst the trees. We had fun fishing and watching the wood duck "brigade" traverse the lake, spotting bald eagles and cute bunnies . We spent time every day watching the water such a peaceful way to start and end our days. We had fun playing games in the grass and even had an Easter egg hunt. We can't wait to come back during summer to swim and use the motorized dock. It is conveniently located to easily get to Seattle and surrounding areas for local eats, favorite tourist spots and scenic outdoor activities. And while this made our trip relaxing and fun, it was the graciousness of our hosts which has us anxious to return. They made our trip so special with fun touches and little surprises. I'd love to elaborate but I wouldn't want to spoil the fun for you. Seriously though, Julie and Rick are wonderful hosts who give ten star treatment with an abundance of friendliness and kindness. Our times conversing are cherished memories. More importantly, I was touched by their thoughtfulness towards my children. All this said, they won't hover and intrude if peaceful solitude is what you seek. Our family enjoyed this peace and solitude between our excursions. One day, we even stayed in to hangout and play a number of board games Julie and Rick have thoughtfully provided. We can't say enough good things about this wonderful place and Julie and Rick! We absolutely will stay again!

Perfect

Unfortunately I can only rate 5 stars here, deserved would be 10 stars ... the appartment is very clean and very good equipped. The view over the lake is great and relaxing is garanteed (also due to the hot tub ;). The help of the landlords (far beyond the must) is exceptional and they are very friendly. All in all it was a great stay.

Serenity on the Lake

Lake Kathleen is a TREASURE! We were looking for a quiet, comfy... 'Home Away From Home'...and could not have found a better spot. We were out & about each day seeing the sights, sounds, smells and spectacular views of Seattle by day and relaxing at Lake Kathleen by evening. Our hosts, Julie & Rick, made our stay one of the many highlights of our week-long visit. They carefully made it a point to check-in with us throughout the week to ensure our stay was pleasant. They went above & beyond by providing a well thought-out binder of places to eat, things to see, where to shop (food & otherwise), helpful instructions about their property, and are quick to respond if you have any questions. They were so kind to provide us unexpected treats each day. OMG! They surprised us with the best maple bars on the planet - Chuck's Donuts! Let this sink as you say it with me now... Whipped - Maple - Frosting! Okay so, maybe I'm writing this review having consumed two of them and I'm feeling the sugar rush, but trust me folks... DEEE-LISH! Moving on...we enjoyed our cruise around the lake on the motorized dock. The scenery is a 'get in touch with nature' moment. Surrounded by evergreens...ducks on the water...hawks in the air... 'Serenity on the Lake'! My wife and sister-in-law took a quick dip into the hot tub and proclaimed... 'Why did we wait until the last day to enjoy this?" The accommodations were perfect for our group of two couples. We slept extremely well in comfy beds. We lounged in the TV/Living room and enjoyed a few movies and streaming music. They provide a fully functional kitchen, but we did not cook much, due to our daily travels. However, we did get to enjoy several breakfasts enjoying our view of the lake as we sipped hot coffee and talked about the endless beauty of the Pacific Northwest. In closing, if you are looking for a peaceful retreat that is just the right amount of outside the hustle & bustle of Seattle, but close enough to get to downtown or up the mountain pass to see Snoqualmie Falls or Mt. Rainier - This is your place! Lake Kathleen is FIVE STARS Cheers! The Allison's & The Madrid's

Couldn’t have chosen better!

We were looking for a place close to Trinity Tree Farm, the venue for my daughters wedding when we came across this wonderful property!! The location was perfect, only about 10 minutes away and tucked away right on Lake Kathleen! I have stayed in several VRBO’s, and I don’t think I have ever stayed at one so incredibly stocked with anything you might need! Julie & Rick are an amazing host! Going above and beyond, when I told my family we got treats and the paper in the morning they couldn’t believe it! Add that to the beautiful views right out the front door! Even though the weather was iffy, we were able to sit out on the dock a few evenings, have a glass of wine and totally unwind from a hectic weekend! There were two couples and my 1 year old granddaughter. Have you ever been to a VRBO or a hotel for that matter, and have everything you might need for a baby? Even a little bathtub!! We were SO appreciative, it made traveling with a baby so much easier!! Please don’t let the thought of the owners being upstairs bother you in any way, they totally respect their guest privacy, but are there if something might arise. You are out in a beautiful rural area, but getting around was easy, close to Grocery & drug store. About 20 minutes from down town Issaquah. Can’t give the property enough stars!
