"A spectacular log cabin in a beautiful part of Mount Desert Island. It's a fifteen minute drive to Acadia with none of the crowds. The living, dining, kitchen area is comfy and well appointed. Everything was spotlessly clean and in great working order. Great deck and outdoor area. Our only complaint is the stairways (inside and out). "This rustic cabin is beautiful and comfortable, with gorgeous views of the lake. It has everything you need, right down to salt and pepper, travel-size soap / shampoo etc. Lots of games and books, plus good Wifi and tv (including over the air tv and Hulu access if you have a subscription). "Nice, well kept house away from the hustle & bustle of Bar Harbor for our first visit to the Coast of Maine. Loved having morning coffee on the deck with the view of the harbor and ocean and then at night sitting out taking in the star-filled sky. Only suggestion would be to leave either the porch or garage light on on the day someone new is checking in for the first time. We arrived well after dark and had a hard time seeing where the door was to enter the house."
