A beautiful staycation❤️
I was initially bummed that the hot tub was out of commission but the hosts were very kind about it working to accommodate my needs. John helped build a beautiful fire in the evening for the couple friends that came up to celebrate my birthday with me and we enjoyed feeding the horses carrots. Overall, beautiful and would recommend. It would also make a lovely Couples retreat for those who like to soak, enjoy outdoors with a fire and lounge about while enjoying the Talent/Ashland area.

Weeken Trip
My girlfriend and I just wanted to come up for the weekend. The property was well maintained, Lisa and John were very friendly and accommodating. They made sure we felt comfortable using the hot tub when we wanted and even left carrots for us in case we wanted to feed the horses. Well decorated and very cozy, we are already planning our next stay in Ashland at the applinger farm to visit friends and take one of Lisa’s apple pie making classes 😊

Exemplary hosts go the extra mile
The Orchard Suite, located on farm property that includes fenced pastures, resident horses, fruit trees, and peaceful southern Oregon views, is a lovely place to stay. Close to wineries, the towns of Ashland, Talent, Jacksonville, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, it's ideally located for exploring what the region has to offer. What sets this property apart are the efforts of the hosts, who made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of; they provided bottled water, breakfast treats, snacks, homemade dried apples, seasonal decor and holiday-themed decorations, and a bucket of windfall apples to feed the horses. Great place to stay in the Ashland area!

Much needed weekend away
I booked this property as a surprise so that my girlfriend and I could have a much needed weekend away. She was so excited when we arrived...it was everything I hoped it would be and more. Even though it's just off of I-5 there is minimal road noise, its very easy to get to, the property is absolutely gorgeous, there are tons of fabulous restaurants close by, charging for our electric car is easily accessed in Medford, the property was very clean, the bed was comfortable, there was water in the fridge, coffee for the maker, microwave popcorn, dried apples, apple donuts, hot chocolate, and tea. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the suite itself and they even provided us with a package of Lysol disinfecting wipes in our room upon arrival. The chairs were soft and comfortable, setting up a time for the hot tub was very easy. It was super relaxing to be out there at night, in the fog, in the hills and mountains, with the soft glow of outdoor lights surrounding us. There are towels and robes for your use as well as a large dresser. Communication with Lisa was very easy and she was very quick with her responses. We did not have to contact her for anything except a time for the hot tub....they didn't miss anything. Lisa and John have an AMAZING property and we will definitely be returning. When we left we felt very relaxed and ready to face a new week. Thanks again.

Wonderful place to stay!!
We got to our room in the early evening and it was a warm and welcoming space. Lisa and John were there to greet us then left us to rest and relax. The room is very spacious and peaceful. I really enjoyed chatting with John and meeting sweet little Poly the kitty. There were goodies, coffee and plenty of soft, cozy towels. If I ever need a place to stay while in Talent again I’ll be calling Lisa & John. I had a wonderful time there. Because of my rushed packing I misplaced my favorite shorts and Lisa found them and said she’d mail them to me the next day. I was overjoyed!! A+++ rating. Thank you for everything Lisa & John. Cozy, comfy, clean
We enjoyed our stay. Owners were friendly when we saw them. It was just as advertised and would stay again. We weren't able to enjoy all of the amenities because of the poor air quality, but I'm sure it would have been that much nicer. Can't do anything about the smoke, so we made the best of it.

Peaceful, romantic getaway
This was an ideal location for a nearby anniversary getaway. Close to Ashland, Jackson, wineries etc. Easy access but the feeling of out in the country!

A perfect spot for a peaceful retreat with a friend!
So inviting, warm hospitality, beautiful property. Peaceful country setting yet close to Ashland, Jacksonville and Medford. I would definitely return again and again! Hosts were available but not overbearing whatsoever. Really special time!

Amazing and so relaxing!
I would recommend this place to everyone, we needed to get away for some quiet, relaxing time and Lisa and John made this possible. They were very accommodating and amazing. Waking up to an amazing view, relaxing the next morning in the hot tub with snow, horses, view and birds was so peaceful. We will definitely make this a annual trip. If your thinking about staying don't give it a second thought do it you won't be sorry..

Soft Spot to Land

Covid 19 reschedule hopeful
Due to the virus changing everyones plans we were not able to enjoy our long planned family vacation. We had to cancel 2 days prior to our scheduled stay. Our host was gracious and understanding. We hope to experience first hand the beauty of the area as soon as possible. Thank you for working with us through such an unusual time.

Spacious, countryside home
We (two couples) enjoyed our stay in the countryside outside of Ashland as we attended plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and participated in a conference. The Farm was a quiet retreat with all the supplies one could need. Very clean. Easy communication with the host. Lovely views into the hills. Fun to arrive during apple season. Sisters Trip
The house was a beautiful setting , very relaxing,comfortable retreat for us.We had nights around the table playing "jacks" and making facinators! Appreciated the nightlights throughout the house and labeled cabinets. A short drive to Ashland for shopping, plays,and eating.

Beautiful view and lovely, warm home!
My family and I loved staying at the Applinger Farm!! We seriously did not want to leave. Just sitting out on the back porch and looking at the the view of the mountains and landscape was the most relaxing thing during our stay. The home was very clean and had all the amenities you need. You could tell the owners really care and the home had such a homely feeling, we felt like we were at our grandparent's old home. We really hope that this home is still on VRBO next year when we do our annual trip to Southern Oregon because this is our favorite place we've ever stayed down there. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

Farm house
The property was just as expected, a farm house. I live in Seattle and it was lovely to stay in a quiet place and have a different surrounding than my typical city life. We attended many plays at the Oregon Shakespeare festival. Short 10 minute drive away. Polly the cat is great!

Perfect spot for Ashland area visit
Really enjoyed staying at this house. Location was great - country yet easy drive into Ashland, Talent and wine areas. The house was well furnished for 3 couples and kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed both the backyard and front porch for outside sitting. Would definitely recommend this property.

Charming older style farmhouse with a lot of interesting country decorations. Great price for the four of us. The kitchen was nicely stocked which made our cooking smoothe. Easy commute to Ashland but nice country setting to enjoy. All was as expected.

Great weekend at the apple farm
Property is exactly as described in the description. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean upon arrival with clean towels and washcloths waiting on the bed for each person. Host left a book with town recommendations plus a jar of homemade apple butter from the host. The house was about a 10-15 min drive from Ashland. Overall very pleased.

Great base of operation!
We had not been to this part of Oregon and found the farm an easy base for our daily adventures. We had to drive a good bit to hit the sites we wanted to visit so we really appreciated the ability to cook a good breakfast and make up a picnic lunch to take along. We had everything we needed including a small cooler and storage containers. We were perfectly comfortable which helped us recharge. We also appreciated having great laundry facilities. This was a great place for us. May was a great time for wildflowers and birding and we enjoyed that very much in many types of environments. Ashland was easy to get to and we enjoyed several dinners there and a wonderful breakfast at Morning Glory. We would come back.

Comfy Farmhouse
Perfect for us. Comfy family farmhouse in a convenient location. Clean with lots of kitchenware. Owner very helpful and responsive. And we liked the friendly farm cat and watching the shenanigans of the horses in the pasture. I'd love to come back in the summer!

The perfect retreat for a family Thanksgiving
This home is so warm, welcoming and spacious with all of the kitchen amenities you could ever want or need. The owners are easy to work with, very accommodating and gracious. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is perfect for cooking a feast, the dining table is great for a family meal or games and the living room is comfortable to watch tv or read. Polly the cat is fun and sweet. We saw no less than 3 rainbows from the back patio on Thanksgiving day. Beautiful views in the morning with a cup of coffee. We felt very cozy and isolated but were very close to town and shopping. We all loved it and werent ready to leave. Cant wait to come back! Thank you!

Beautiful home
Lisa, the owner was lovely and easy to work with. She gave great references about places to see with my family, including kids from teen to tot. The house was spotless and full of space and charm. There was an occupied tiny house on the property, no issue for us. Area safe with plenty to do. I would do business again w Lisa in a heartbeat. One thing I'm learning thru VRBO is that there is often an extra guest fee built in for parties over 4. It's transparent when you're booking and I understand it's due to extra water, etc., and this in no way reflects negatively on this property. Just something I was not aware of until this trip which included 2 places. Something else to be aware of: there are wildfires at certain times of the year, filling the Rogue valley with smoke. We couldn't smell it much in house and we drove to areas less affected to visit but you might ask a local what the status is so you can travel accordingly. P.S. polly the cat was cool and the horse likes apples.

Great Place!
Lisa, just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us. We loved the farm. My daughter, 2 granddaughters and my best friend came up to Ashland for the Shakespeare Theater. Being about 4 miles from downtown made it a great place to stay. Enjoyed the house very much. Everybody loved Polly the cat, she is a great greeter. A very clean place and it feels like home. Also enjoyed watching the birds. We are looking forward to staying at the Applinger Farm again next year! Thank You! Lorraine and Girl!

It was the perfect place at the perfect time for our family reunion!
This home has been lived in, and is not the most up-to-date. However, it wascountry cute, clean, spacious, welcoming and had everything we needed. We came from Santa Cruz, CA, Cambridge, MA, and Austin, TX. 5 adults and 1 child, we could have easily accommodated 2-3 more. We have family in the area and had parties in our place and in theirs. The pear and apple trees were blossoming, and my granddaughter and I had a great time feeding the cat and the horses. I absolutely loved the huge washer-dryer units! The price is right too. We went to the local winery - gorgeous and delicious. You can see the freeway from the front porch but it did not bother us. I highly recommend it for a family trip.

"All Were Had By A Good Time"
Applinger Farm is just our kind of vacation retreat. With easy access to the Applegate Valley and surrounding winery settings, we could enjoy as many "area" delights as we wanted, then repair to this peaceful and restful property. I especially enjoyed the two "ranch Katz", and, we became pals over our stay. Much to appreciate in this comfy and inviting home. We look forward to returning to the Farm. Great place, great space
We had such a great experience staying at the farm house. It was both cozy and spacious. It was quite conveniant to attend our conference at SOU with little or no traffic. The kitchen was great. The beds were comfortable. We had ample space to spread out and work in the evenings and the space itself was welcoming. Lisa was helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend staying at the Applinger Farm for families or groups. It was a fantastic experience.
