“My second visit to Astor Hse. I travel out of season (Oct/Nov) due to my work, and find Astor Hse a true pleasure. Apt 8 and 9 have huge bay windows leading onto good sized furnished terraces, which look south over 'Torbay' giving stunning views. The apts are warm and spacious and provide everything you need during your visit. The shops, theatre, cinema, cafes and bars are all close, but bare in mind there are steep steps to reach all of these. The manager (Jacqui) and owner (Steve) provide very……

“The ability to get to restaurants etc in the harbour was poor as very long way down and steep climb up. No smart TVs no Spotify on Alexa and the request to leave apartment clean was unacceptable as would have better service from a hotel and the price paid was high end and expectations were not met.”

“A very good apartment. Noisy at night as on a main road with lots of traffic and police sirens. Complicated equipment dishwasher and washing machine. There was no welcome pack to tell you how to operate equipment and facilities available . No explanation about what to do with rubbish. This could easily be rectified by hotel management.”

“A really great location, albeit up at big hill from the centre of Torquay - but this meant lovely views and a quiet neighbourhood. The house was spotlessly clean, the added touches like premium tea and coffee was really appreciated, beds were so comfy and the whole place felt really spacious. Would stay here again if visiting Torquay.”

“We stayed in this delightful cottage for three night. The whole house was kitted out with everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen though we are out mostly. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of space to store our clothes with plenty of hangers. The shower was easy to use and there was plenty of hot water. Close to all amenities and transport links - buses, trains and tour boats.”
