Weekend Getaway
The perfect place for a relaxing weekend away. The wood stove was a perfect complement to the fall weather & only added to the coziness of the house. Beautiful backyard with just a short walk to the lake. The host shared information about the town, places to eat, shop, and visit in addition to local hiking information. Could not be happier!

5/5 Excellent

Great cabin and hosts
The cabin was very clean, beautifully decorated, and larger than the pictures portrayed. We were very comfortable here and appreciated using the paddleboard and kayak multiple times during our stay.

Cozy cabin
We had a great stay at the property. Location is great. My son enjoyed the beach and we liked the neighborhood. It was close to area hiking which we did every day and local farms. The deck is great - a really nice addition to the space. We enjoyed relaxing there in the morning and at night.

2/5 Poor

Freezing no heat
We did not know that we’d have to chop wood to stay warm. The house was freezing. There was no real heat in the house. They had plug in heaters. It was 25 degrees at night. You have to run the wood stove to stay warm. This was not made clear in description. We left the house clean and stripped the beds as asked. She was upset because the towels had makeup on them from washing your make up off. They were plain white towels and could be bleached. If she doesn’t want people to use her linens then she shouldn’t provide them. I swept and cleaned the dishes and packed up garbage even though we paid a cleaning fee. I still got a nasty voicemail from the husband saying that the cleaning lady said she had to “throw out towels because there were stains on them.” It’s absolutely ridiculous! We were great guests and never complained, even when the husband said “oh this heater is broken, that heater is broken...” it was FREEZING and we paid for a home with no heat. He said...go in the shed and get wood if it’s cold. Also the fridge was never cleaned out. Old food in there. Not appealing. I just think that someone can’t complain about using towels. Put them in the wash, add bleach. They’re fine....don’t leave nasty voicemails on my phone. So unless you want to be harassed after you leave the place clean, and freeze to death....I would not recommend this place. It’s also in the middle of NOWHERE in a run down lake community.

5/5 Excellent

Cozy and Comfortable
This experience was everything as described. It was cozy, classy, and comfortable. The decor is well done. Nice warm shower a plus. We delighted in donuts at March Farm followed by a beautiful hike at White Memorial. The cozy fire place lent well to relaxation, conversation, and quality time with family.
