Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The reception staff did not expect me and did not know what to do. There was a key problem in unlocking the door from the pub area to the room corridor. When I left my room to go out at around 7pm there was no light at all in the corridor. The bar man told me that there was a fuse problem with those lights in the corridor which hadn't been fixed. He said "don't you have a flashlight on your phone?" This was a serious H&S breach, when I returned the pub was closed and the outside door to the corridor was in complete darkness. The room was fine. Next day I had to wait to leave because I couldn't get out of the car park due to the entrance being tarmaced. All in all it was a a bit of a Fawlty Towers experience and not worth what I paid. I may have been the only guest and felt that I was alone in the building.
