Peaceful, beautiful, rustic "up-north" cabin!
This was the perfect spot to get away for some much needed R & R. It was like walking back in time – such a quaint cabin, yet had everything we needed. The fall colors were spectacular! However our favorite thing was catching trout! (Thank you to Roger for the fishing tips!) The only thing better was grilling them up to eat – so delicious. We would like to come back again sometime.

Wonderful log cabin on the lake.

Loved it!
we love fishing this lake and decided to book an end of summer week-long stay. Best decision! Cozy cabin and the caretaker lives at the top of the hill and was so great.

Long weekend up north
The property was on a lake that was clean, quiet, and peaceful. The cabins were fully stocked with towels, linens, dishes, pots and pans. The cabins were clean and comfortable. The caretaker was helpful and very accommodating. This is our families second stay at this location . We hope to be back next year.

Perfect peace getaway...
We spent four nights in this rustic cabin and had a lot of fun with our two children (5 and 8 years old). This place is wonderful: it is isolated, next to a lake with clear water and close enough to Itasca state park for a hike. On the lake boat speed is limited to 10mph, which is perfect if you plan on swimming and/or kayaking. We took the kayaks around the lake as well as the pedal boat. The kids loved it! Swimming was also part of the day. We ended our days by watching the sunset on the lake followed by roasting some marshmallows over a bonfire. We totally recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! PS: Roger, the caretaker, was helpful and welcoming!
