Awesome view
The cabin was beautiful and move in ready. Everything you would need. The view is so awesome. Had a campfire the first night, listening to the waves. Weather could have been nicer but didn't hamper our stay.

Amazing place!
This property was completely as advertised. Beautiful location and it was absolutely spotless. I unfortunately had to work during the majority of my stay at Steelhead Run but did manage to get out and fish a bit. Thanks Dave and I will be back!

Directions confused us so I went on Frbo to contact owner. Instead of letting me use a password, they sent a code to my email. But it did not arrive until the next day, so we wandered until we found it. That is our only complaint. Outstanding overall experience. Wish the cabin next door was available next year so family could come. BEAUTIFUL

Great Food, Great Company, Quiet Waters
We returned to this lovely beachfront cabin again and it continues to delight with great accommodations! Our daughter joined us and we were able to spend quality time reconnecting. We also took the time to explore local eateries and were not disappointed. Westfield's Abe and Grace, Mayfield's Music in Your Mouth, North East's Skunk and Goat were our favorites! Lake Erie was like a mirror most of the week, the sunsets were fabulous, and there were clear skies for viewing the ISS. However, quiet waters meant no fish in the creek, and hubby was a tad disappointed, but it wasn't anything a Portage Pie Shop grape pie couldn't fix. We'll be back!

Relaxing with friends
This beautiful cabin stay has become an annual week-away gathering with friends. The hosts provide all the basics (and extras) needed to set you up for a relaxing stay, and the lovely lake view from the kitchen window is certainly a treat. We're enjoying getting to know the local area, to include the Saturday farmers market and Pie shop in Westfield, the local wineries and restaurants, and an occasional excursion into the city of Erie. We hope to be able to continue to return to this delightful place in the future!

Beautiful piece of heaven!
The cabin was absolutely beautiful and we couldn't have been more pleased. The cabin was so clean! My husband and I have horrible allergies to pets, so we were a little hesitant booking here because of it being pet friendly. Let me say, if there were pets there prior, we had no idea. There wasn't any traces of pet hair or smell. They do a remarkable job cleaning. The views were amazing! Dave is a wonderful host! We can't thank him enough for the use of the cabin. We've already booked again for May. Thanks again for sharing your little piece of heaven Dave!

Beautiful cottage!
We booked both cabins for a long weekend and my parents stayed in this one. They really enjoyed it! Very accessible for the beach and it had lots of amenities. Bed and furnishings were very comfortable. The host was very helpful when my folks got locked out so they were not out long. While we rented both cottages, there's enough distance between them that if you had different groups you still have plenty of space. Cottage layout is thoughtful. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! (I also left a review on the other cottage, it was all 5 stars as well!). We'll be back!!

Wonderful getaway
Everything we’d hoped for and more! A cozy little cabin with breathtaking views, a dog-friendly pebbled beach with few people around, and a perfect bonfire pit. Wished we could’ve stayed for a month!

Spectacular Sunsets, Soothing Waves, and Blazing Camp Fires!!!!
Always a pleasure to stay at the SteelHead Run camp, Dave and Barb are amazing host/hostess and always present a clean stay with breath taking views. Lake Erie gem
This cozy, rustic cabin is the perfect spot for a winter getaway. Nothing fancy, but very private and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Wi-fi works well, 2 streaming TVs for entertainment. Steelhead fishing for him, wine and antiques for me. Lake Erie is just steps away for windy walks with our Lab, beach glass finds, and gorgeous sunsets. We’ve stayed here many times, in every season, and always enjoy it!

Great Weekend
Me, my boyfriend and my dog stayed there this past weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. David suggested some local restaurants and wineries. Everything was amazing. The views were beautiful and we took home some local wine and beer. The concord wine and Grape lakes beer are so good. We visited the Pinehurst Golf Club and even went to Niagra Falls. It was a well needed weekend and we hope to visit again.

Beautiful cottage right on Lake Erie, everything you need to feel at home.
Check in was simple & the cottage was fully stocked with everything you would need. I love to cook & the kitchen was ready for me. The cottage is just as advertised, clean comfortable & inviting. The best feature was sound of the waves on the Lake...the look & feel of an ocean was amazing. I highly recommend the Sunset cottage because the name fits it well with the most amazing sunsets from the front porch!

This is the 4th time we have stayed at one of the 2 cabins. Every time has been an excellent experience. Cabin is super clean and stocked with everything you might need. Location is at the end of the road and right on the lake. Highly recommend to anyone and also dog friendly.

Great Getaway
My husband, 4month old and dogs stayed in this cabin for a short getaway. And it was great! The cabin had enough space for all of us it was cozy at night and relaxing to sit on the porch and watch and listen to the lake. It is a convenient location close to the downtown area but right on the water (lake and creek). Definitely a place we could see ourselves visiting again when our son is older and can enjoy the water. The only suggestion I have is If you are a picky sleeper, like myself (I like multiple pillows), I would suggest bringing your own pillow(s) especially if you are using all the sleeping spaces. But beyond that, I can’t recommend this place enough!

Absolutely Wonderful
I cannot say enough good things about this place!! My husband, son, and I stayed here recently and we are completely in love with it. The cabin is beautiful, clean, and well stocked, and the location can’t be beat. The beach is even closer than it looks in the photos. The fire pit is wonderful - we were able to have a fire by the beach in the evening and it was lovely. Our son also loved the swing set/slide that was on the property. There were lots of extra blankets and towels, dishes, and everything else we could need. There was even a drawer filled with menus from all the local restaurants, which made finding a place to eat in a place we’d never been to a whole lot easier! We had a wonderful time and very much hope to be back!!

Beautiful Location - Clean Cabin
My wife and I enjoyed two days at this beautiful location. Even though it rained most of the time we were there, the lake was beautiful. The cabin was clean and well maintained with everything ready for our stay. No hassle check-in and check-out. Was able to use the grill with everything needed there at the property. Local stores just a few miles away to pickup supplies. Highly recommended!

Serenity on Lake Erie
This was a wonderful cabin to enjoy the serenity of the Lake Erie area. David was very clear with check-in and out instructions, and the cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed for a couple of nights away from everything. The outside area was set up nicely for either couples or a larger family. This is a fabulous place for a quick get-away, or for a longer stay with family/friends.
