“Was fab . Breakfast was delicious .”

“Lovely little bolt hole next to a great pub. The bed was very comfy and the shower was amazing. The outside seating is overlooked by the main road and due to roadworks it was a bit too busy with standing traffic to sit outside. The pub next door was very good and we enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast the next day.”

“Food excellent and good value, room nice, clean, they left fresh milk in the room. All staff really friendly and helpful. would go again.”

“The staff was super helpful, Drinks and food good. Very comfy beds.”

“kitchen closed at 6pm and no breakfast available despite having paid for it so i got a refund and didn't check in.”

“Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. We were greeted by a man in a hurry, brusquely telling us over his shoulder whilst rushing around doing……

“Excellent pub hotel in perfect location in centre of town. Thank you to Steve the Manager for warm welcome, hospitality and advice/tips. Would definitely stay again.”

“The room is unique lovely window continental breakfast was good Unfortunately the bathroom did need an update”

“We loved our stay at this hotel! The rooms were quaint and well made up. There was even a bathtub in our room, which was a game changer! We also really enjoyed dining at the property's pub, and the food was amazing! Very much enjoyed the fish and chips and the lamb special they were serving. The location is perfect if you're exploring the surrounding Cotswolds towns and don't want to stay in the center of the action. We would definitely return to this hotel when we come back to the Cotswolds in……

“Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles.”

“The Royal George is quite nice and it is in the quiet part of Gloucester.”

“Due to age of building plus isolation it had some unique qualities but the staff were all lovely and the stay was enjoyable.”
