"This is my 3rd time being at the south lake chalet! I absolutely love being here because its in walking distance of everything, the cleanliness of the room and has everything I need. I absolutely feel comfortable here everytime and will continue to come here every time i come to tahoe! 10/10 recommend even if you want a night away!"

"This is a great place for 2 (there is a couch and, I believe, a rollaway bed so 4 could probably make it). It’s small/cozy, but we don’t vacation for the accommodations. We don’t want to stay in a dump, but we go places to see and do so we don’t spend lots of hours, or days, lounging around our room. It’s been renovated recently. Full kitchen (including dishwasher) and bath. Pots, pans, silverware, coffee maker…basics for meal prep if you don’t want to eat out 2-3 times a day. It’s only 2-3...

"We were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful mountain views. Watching sunsets and stargazing directly from the porch or the hot tub was very enjoyable. The room and property was clean and staff was friendly."

"Upon on arrival the staff was very curtious and helpful. Then we got to our room. The room was very worn and neglected. Doors not closing, mold throughout the bathroom and broken tiles. Worn furniture etc… The owner was rude and didn’t seem to worried about our concerns. We definitely got the feeling of I don’t care someone else would take it!! Not as described."

"The property was perfect for a girl’s weekend trip. It was clean, comfortable, and updated. The amenities were useful (Kerig, small fridge, and microwave), and we loved sitting by the fire pit at night. We chose this location because it is close to the Mt. Tallac trailhead (~5 miles) and good paddle boarding beaches (Kiva & Baldwin). It was quiet and relaxing here. We made a great choice and would love to stay again in the future. Thank you!"
