Private Home Sleeps 12 with AMAZING views of water, the bridge & town of Belfast

Large single family home set up top on a private and secluded hilltop property with amazing views of the ocean, full view of bridge and overlooking the town of Belfast. Enjoy the day sitting on the second floor deck or down below on the spacious manicured open lawn or under the trellis surrounded by grape vines and blueberry bushes. Perfectly located to provide a quiet and relaxing day/night stay in or allow you to explore and experience all there is to do close by. You will be within walking distance of beautiful down town Belfast as well as both bridges and the infamous Rail Trail. Highly desirable listing for a couple to have a romantic retreat alone or a family and/or friends to get together to spend quality time. This home comfortably sleeps 10 however additional options are available if need be and you’re flexible (i.e. air mattress, sleeping bag, additional couch).

This home is currently listed as a 5 bedroom, 2 full bath, full eat in kitchen with a spacious living room and large custom built open sun deck. The outdoor deck is equip with a propane grill and outdoor patio table with 6 chairs and adjustable umbrella in the center for shade options. Everything is on the same floor which is the main floor of this home. The basement is locked and being utilized for storage. 2 bedrooms are located on one side of the main floor home and the kitchen and living room are on the other. The main entrance is in the front of the house which leads into the foyer and living room. There is also a back entrance which takes you into the kitchen which is perfect if carrying in groceries or wanting to allow the kids or the dogs out back to play while being able to see them via the window above the sink or from the glass paned windows on the door while inside the kitchen. The master bedroom has 2 front facing windows with ocean and bridge views while the 2nd bedroom has 2 windows that provide a nice cross breeze and provide a view of the outdoor grape trellis and beautifully landscaped yard. The view from this bedroom allows you to stare out at the many different trees and beautiful tiger lily bushes that were planted and meticulously cared for decades before the house was even built. The lilies are a nostalgic piece of this property and when in bloom you can almost smell them from inside the open window. The 2nd floor offers an additional 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms each have a queen size bed, with fresh linens and comfy pillows. There are 2 full bath with shower/tub combo and clean towels that have been bleached and sanitized following the cdc’s covid cleaning suggested protocol as has the rest of the house to provide high levels of safety for each guest. On the other side of the main floor you will find the living room area with a pull out couch that comfortably sleeps 2. Lastly, you will also have a full open kitchen with all essential amenities along with a large dining table that has 4 chairs and a large bench.

You will be within walking, driving or biking distance away from downtown Belfast where you will find local cafes, one of a kind restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries, shopping for everyone, antiques , hidden gems and treasures and endless local art. You will also find Belfast Harbor Walk and Belfast City Park within walking distance. 1 hour and 15 mins from Acadia National Park, less than 30 mins to Camden and less than 45 mins to Rockland.

In a whirlwind tour of colleges in Maine we needed a place to stay with our family. James is home was welcoming and warm, clean and cozy! Great location and our only complaint is that we wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed staying here. The location was perfect; up and down the coast was very easy. James’s house was perfect for us — comfortable, very clean and well- appointed. The large lawn was an extra benefit, for the dogs. James was a perfect host. When we had questions or needed something, he responded immediately. We couldn’t be more pleased with our week there.

Great place to stay while visiting Belfast

My family stayed here while in Belfast for a few days. The location is within walking distance to downtown, which was nice because over the weekend the parking downtown could be a little challenging. Belfast was a cute town with lots of fun shops, close to several other places for day trips (Camden, Fort Knox), and we really enjoyed our stay. James was great to work with and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to make it an enjoyable trip for everyone in our party, couldn’t recommend him enough.
