“I had a really wonderful time staying here. The breakfast was very tasty, the garden was beautiful and I felt really looked after. I would definitely come back again! Only small issue was the parking. Luckily it is not busy so there is parking at the back but I can feel this might come to issue since it's a small car park and you dont want to park on the side of the road but tbh this is very minor and it's a bit nitpicking as I have really enjoyed my stay.”

“We were asked to book a breakfast time slot on arrival, so we selected 8:30–9:00. However, when we went down that morning, all the doors were locked and there was no staff present. We tried every contact number provided, including the delivery and service numbers advertised, but received no answer or callback. “The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We were given our room key and on arrival in the room I noticed that there was quite a bit of hair in the sink and some in the bathtub as well. I mentioned it to the manager and when we returned to our room after dinner, which was delicious, the hair in the sink was gone. The……

“Sub travel lodge. Worn out, dirty and £17 for a glass of wine and a bottle of beer, food is frozen brakes brothers style.. only saving grace was that the staff try hard. Owners and management should be ashamed that they make their staff operate in a such a hovel of a place. Premier Inn, while basic is 1000% nicer (and cleaner). No aircon, grubby room, dirty shower, grubby common areas, ordinary food, one ironing board in the whole place, broken lift, wet carpet in room and room smelt of cat……
