2nd visit at this property we love this property. Only disappoinment this year was the front desk welcome and ambassador staff. Actually rude when inquiring about assistance with needs after check in. In years past they were warm welcoming happy to have you at their property. Margaritas and flipflops to welcome smiling Happy staff, not this year unfortunately. We transfered from another property so did not arrive at a busy time they left out luggage at curb unattended we had to ask them to tend to. Our island ambassador was nice and efficient checking us in and assisting with any dinner reservations. All other staff servers and bartenders were wonderful!! Could not say enough great things about them. They made the week and carried out the “Jimmy Buffet Island Vive” Hoping the change in management over the last year doesnt impack anymore rudness. There is always something fun going on to participate in. Love the

This was our second time staying at Margaritaville in Cancun and once again we absolutely loved it. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and made for an extremely enjoyable experience, and all the food/drinks were delicious. I was unable to drink alcohol and they went out of their way to make me delicious drinks nonetheless. We did notice that some areas of the property seemed a bit run down compared to 3 years ago (namely the signage at Rita’s for example), but all of the facilities, including the beach chairs, public areas, and our room were clean and comfortable.

There are few things that make me consider other resorts for the next time, the food quality was good but you have to wait a long time to get your order, except the breakfast nothing is self service which is not good, you have to order from menu and wait, specially if it’s busy. It was very windy everyday all day long, it’s fine when it’s sunny otherwise might feel chilly when you get out of water before noon and afternoon.(we were there mid April) And at the time of check out they charge us $270 pesos extra for resort tax which it wasn’t mentioned when we booked it, it’s not much but I don’t like any hidden charges. Staff were nice and friendly also room service was good.

The property is not huge so the amount of people Is not overwhelming. The rooms are nice and restaurants are good. The VIP through Expedia is a joke, you don't get a hotel credit all at once, the hotel only gives you dollars towards services.

This was our second visit to the location. We actually visited 12 years ago when it was formerly the A Zulu Beach resort. When looking late this year for a trip, we knew we wanted something smaller, well-run, at a not-party or too busy location. Something all of us could enjoy. So after searching dozens and dozens of places, we knew we wanted something like what we had experienced 12 years ago. While the ‘Margaritaville’ branding wasn’t our vibe. The location, size, quality of Karisma resorts gave us the confidence to try it. We were very pleased to find not too much had changed. The property is clean, intimate, well staffed with a beautiful beach. Some of the staff from our visit 12 years ago, and my husband’s parents subsequent visits after we told them how much we had enjoyed our first visit, were still there and still in contact with his parents. The staff really makes this place. Everyone is so kind and genuine. The room was immaculate when we arrived, and there was a happy birthday banner on the door and decorations on the bed when we arrived. There are some advances in tech: an app and scannable bracelets. There is a new process to get ‘per diems’ from a commissary, which included two drinks and snacks per day. The entertainment staff worked hard to keep events going and included us in them. There were a couple of differences from our last visit: it used to be a ‘gourmet’ all-inclusive, with a strong focus on a variety of restaurants and quality of food options.

Loved the rooms, food was excellent and the cocktails made by Manuel at the lobby compass bar were incredible. This was our second time, came here with other adults and mostly stayed by the adult pool area. Rita’s tacos were great as always and Franks and Lola’s and Latino were both very good. There were a lot of young kids which was surprising as I’ve always felt there wasn’t much to do for them to do but most were in the beach and by the kid pool all day. Such a great walkable resort, worth visiting all the pools even if your room is just close to one of them. We loved the License the chill bar at the adult pool with drinks made by Jose Luis. Great visit but we may try the adult only Margaritaville down the road next time.

My boyfriend and i had a wonderful time staying at margaritaville. We loved how relaxing the environment was, the staff was so lovely and helpful. We wished there was a way to have some food around the pool, only option was to order room service or go to the buffet, it would be convenient if you were allowed to take food out of the buffet resturant. Otherwise had a wonderful time, 9/10. Would recommend.

Very friendly wait staff. Always gracious and kind. We did not care for the constant badgering to sit and listen to the spiel to become a Karisma member. At one point, the Prestige representative was literally begging us to attend.

It was our third time and it seems like they are cutting back. The carpet in our room could use a shampoo but the room was always clean. A bit of confusion we were told the point system for filling your mini bar from Joe Merchant was gone. Just go in everyday and get 2 beers, 2 sodas and 2 snack. Half way though our stay the staff started telling us how many points we had left. Also the pools were very cloudy and not too pleasant looking. Mid week this was rectified. The buffet breakfast is pretty sad choice wise. The food in the trays was often cold. Meals at the Ala carted were often too salty. I was disappointed, this is one of out favourite resorts but I’m not sure I would return. The last straw was no late check out and no where to have a quick shower if you flight is later in the day.

It’s not overwhelming easy access to everything. Staff was amazing. It was my birthday and they made it that more special from the restaurants to the bartenders. Differently would recommend if you like calm and relaxing

This property has a decent beach area, great smoothie and alcohol bars. Service in the beach hut was a little subpar, waited 2 hours for food to arrive.
