Pros: Absolutely the location is the best! Literally walking distance or easy transit from a to b. We walked everywhere with a 3&4 year old.Makes up for the other less fortunate parts of this hotel. Staff were super helpful! Called front desk for more of many things as a family of 4 required extra towels and coffee and they came to the door within minutes! They held the elevator as we had a double wide stroller and a handful.
Cons: luck of the draw but kids running around being behind disrespectful, yelling, leaving garbage in hallways and crumbs. Not the hotels fault but a huge nuisance with young kids at 11pm.
Rooms: super small even though sleeps 4. No room for anything. We only had a few bags and a large stroller so if you had luggage not sure where it would go? Travelling with kids and a huge stroller for storage was a challenge- had to be folded and always in the way. We spent our days out so luckily we weren’t in the room often but we are 2 adults and 2 kids and it was cramped.
Beds: not comfortable, and a tiny double?
Pool: not the cleanest, no towels and stairs were extremely slippery ( poor design flaw) also no necessarily the staffs fault.
We had a double room and would have loved a view- so be sure to ask for an outside view of the terrace or city side. (We also didn’t know what the exterior window would be facing)
Parking: awful! Just save the hassle and park across the street at the Rideau Centre Parking. Easier, safer and super easy access.
